I’ve been in here two times to get computers service. The first time I had problems with two side by side USB ports on my then new laptop. They fixed them, though the fix was to use glue. I thought it was a little expensive given the fix and the time it took but I have to admit that the ports have held up over a year now (Knock on wood)
The second time I took my g/f’s computer in which was overheating like a bastard. I figured it might be due to dust/​hair/​dirt buildup in the fan and/​or cooling area but I wasn’t sure. It could have been a non-​working fan as well. When I went there and talked to the guy at the counter, he suggested that the motherboard might also be an issue. So he gave me two different quotes for normal cleaning, and replacing the fan. I got the laptop back the next day. It turns out that the intake or expelling air grid had gotten clogged up with lint and hair. Total cost $ 37. Not too shabby.
I“ll probably be back when its time to get my own laptop cleaned.
