This is a wonderful shop with beautiful dresses. They have a large selection of silhouettes. I tried on what felt like a million dresses. They let me take my time, and I was never pressured.

Enjoyed working with Ms. Jeannie on finding a nice bridesmaid dress that would fit my ample derrière and slim my waistline and also be a very specific hue of yellow. Tried on 8 or so dresses, and found one that was empire-​waisted and just perfect, minus too long of shoulder straps. With two weeks to the wedding (I know, I’m an awful bridesmaid but I’m busy!) they were able to fit in some alterations for me. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because they were a little difficult to get ahold of over the phone, and finding out a pickup date took a few back-​and-​forths. Overall, good experience, friendly service, decent selection, quick alterations and one happy customer. Now if only the driving from Midtown to Collierville were more pleasant…

I found my wedding gown here, and it was beautiful! I was very happy with the dress and I bought it right away. The dress shopping experience I would give ⁵⁄₅ stars, because Jeannie, my consultant, was fabulous and so helpful with finding dresses in the style I was looking for.
Of course, I’m not perfect, so the dress didn’t fit quite like a glove and we needed some alterations done after the first fitting. The dress was supposed to be ready a week before my wedding. When I went back for a second fitting, the lady who was supposed to do my alterations had not actually done anything to the dress. She even said she *forgot* to do it. The next time I’d be able to pick up my dress was a week before the wedding. When I went back that time, the dress fit better, but there was this big space between the dress and my chest. I pretty much had to settle for what was done to the dress because there wasn’t enough time and the alterations lady was like booked solid for that week. With much finagling by my mom and sister (and some sewing accessories), I was able to wear the dress on my wedding day and I still looked good. My experience with the alterations person wasn’t the best, but I was still satisfied with my dress and I look fine in the wedding photos.
Overall, I’d recommend buying your dress here, but if you know of someone who does alterations, go with them. Just from my experience.

Ballew Bridal is the best! The store is beautiful, the ladies are helpful, and they have tons of gorgeous dresses. The dress that Mrs. Ballew recommended for me ended up being The One, and they altered it to fit me like a glove! They also have a wonderful selection of dresses for the rest of the party, proms, etc (I’ve worn a number of their non-​wedding dresses to various events).
