The Gateway Villas

It is absolutely impossible not to smell the sewage. I’ve been living here for three years and have finally given up. You can only put up with the smell for so long. Before you open your windows you need to walk outside and make sure the air is clear. One thing the smell is good for is that it’ll let you know when your door or window seal needs to be replaced because little bits of fart smell will seep through.

The Villas are a very high quality apartment/​townhouse community convenient to alot of wonderful places. I think its a wonderful location, I can get to campus just fine without feeling to close. I love the Panera, Starbucks, Roadhouse, Olive Garden and all the other shops I can walk to. Like someone else said, each room has its own full bathroom and the balcony is great to relax on, nice and quiet.
Regardless of its location, I havent been bothered or noticed any smell like another reviewer mentioned, maybe they’re smelling something else? The place is great.

Lived here for 4 years and it was a very convenient location to live. Starbucks, Half Price books, and Fish Daddys are all walking distance (I now have way too many books)… There is also a cut through to get to hwy 6 which makes it easy to get to other places in College Station and Bryan. Each room has its own bathroom, which was nice for 4 girls living there. It takes about 10 min to get to campus car and about 15 min on a bike. I have enjoyed living here for the past 4 years of college.

Please make sure you do your homework a little bit before deciding to move here. See, The Gateway Villas are (according to our own brief experience and this news article) the stinkiest apartments /​homes to live in, in all of Brazos Valley. Aside from the 2 million gallons of sewage water which was spilled into Burton Creek by the Burton Creek Wastewater Treatment plant (right next door), the open air treatment of raw sewage (everyone in Bryan flushing their toilets) is in fact that very heavy gut-​wrenching horrid stench so powerful that you can taste it in the evenings.
If you will compare the two photos I have just uploaded, you will see that the first, from the Realty website conveniently does not show Burton Creek Wastewater Treatment. The next photo from Google, does. Enjoy.
