History

Established in 1933.

Skaggs-​Walsh was started in Astoria Queens by Norris Skaggs and Stanley

Walsh. They specialized in installing oil burners and boilers. In the 1950’s Fred Heaney came to consult with Mr. Skaggs and Mr. Walsh on growing the business into a fuel delivery company as well. He later purchased the company and eventually handed over the operation to his son Peter Heaney. Peter ran the company and eventually moved the operation to a larger facility located in College Point in Queens. In 1994, Peter became ill and transfered control to his daughter Allison Heaney. She continues to run the company today. Skaggs-​Walsh is a full service fuel oil company, offering heating oil and service to thousands of homeowners and businesses in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The company is dedicated to offering the best service available. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Allison is 45 years old and lives on Long Island with her husband, two children, 2 dogs and 4 cats. She is available to speak with any of her customers at their discretion. She was raised in the oil business and loves to serve her community by keeping her customers warm and satisfied. She serves on the Boards of the New York Oil Heat Association, The Empire State Energy Association and the National OIlheat Research Alliance.
