The Farmers Market at Maryland is located on the University of Maryland campus and is open to the public. This producer-only, open air market provides a wide variety of fresh produce as well as meats, breads, pastries, baked goods, pickles, eggs and cheese spreads.
History
Established in 2012.
A trial market at the University, referred to as «Testudo’s Market,» was warmly welcomed onto campus in April 2010. Since then, several Wellness @ Maryland staff members have been working to establish an enduring farmers market on campus with the goal of introducing our community to the health and sustainable benefits of buying food from local farmers.
