ACE Rent a Car

Renting from this company was a terrible idea. Hidden fees combined with terrible customer service and unknowledgeable staff created the perfect recipe for dissatisfaction. After leaving the counter with the keys we went downstairs to get the car, there were multiple car rental booths with easy to spot signage but not ACE rental car they have a lone unattended podium with a barely visible sign. We waited for ten minutes and the attendant did not show up until after I found the car and was loading it up. The car seat was just sitting in an empty car space also unattended. And on top of that the car smelled like cigarette smoke and the car seat we rented was dirty. We will not be using this company again.

Was a little nervous with all the bad reviews but I had an absolutely fine experience. Everyone was courteous (albeit showing signs of typical underpaid customer service personnel — can’t blame them), helpful and efficient. I only had one person in front of me at check in and only ad to wait a little bit to drop the car off. I checked in at about 4pm on a Monday and checked out at around 7:30am on a Friday. They do typically only have 1 person working each station at a time so I could see how that would cause a backlog but what can you expect? There’s a reason why their cars are $ 20-​$ 30 cheaper per day than their competitors. The one thing I’m not too keen on is the fact that they don’t have you sign anything when you drop the car off to confirm that both parties agree that the drop off was satisfactory — that make me nervous because I’m paranoid. Thus, I’ll be watching my credit card statement for any funny business. All in all, easy experience and I would book with them again.

When purchased the insurance, said it covers all damage. After accident, said it only covers first $ 1,000.

By far THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They didn’t open until 7 am. Which was fine. The black woman behind the counter was cranky b*#$h. Simply because she thought she could. She asked for my name and then in the middle of me spelling she just asked for my id. She slammed the credit card down. Instead of handing me my id she just threw it on the counter. All the way around rude. She didn’t even take the time to see if I had any questions. Shame on Ace Rental in the Atlanta Airport. Never again

I had the worst experience with this company! They do not honor what Expedia or Hotwire offers on rental agreements. Why are they in business if they do not offer unlimited miles– what am I paying so highly for at the front end if I am also paying above 150 free miles & $.29 per mile thereafter? Offering these rates is like living or should I state renting during the Stone Ages. On top of that, the customer service agent that I dealt with was aloof and rude. This company is awful!

I was very unhappy with my experience. Our flight flew in early and the lady at the counter made a remark about how we were 1 hour early. She was rude and had terrible customer service. It then took us 15 minutes to get the car. We waited in the cold. This guy was also rude and had terrible customer service. The car was okay. After we had it, the rear back light was out. There was also a big pink stain on the back seat. The car just looked old and warn down. I should have gone with a different rental car company.

check in was ok, took awhile b/​c the guy on the computer was slow! we picked ace b/​c it said it was in the terminal. it is not in the terminal-​it is with the rest of the car rental companies in the skyterminal-​seems to be new in atlanta and no car rentals are out of the main terminal. they are all here.
when we got back there was no one in sight to check in our car. we had to dig out the phone number, call, and have someone sent to the lonely desk that comprises all of ace rent a cars presence in the garage. pretty sad and took 10 extra minutes. the car was ok, newer, clean. but with all the companies in one place this will not get our return business/​sorry!

They took my reservation but when I came in to rent the car they said they don’t rent to Georgia residents. THEN WHY TAKE THE RESERVATION. Rude uncaring people.

Their policies are not clear and they will charge you extra here and extra that which will DOUBLE the total rental price. They have different policies all over their website which say different things and when you complain they won’t listen they will just fight back. A terrible, awful, no good, company. I will NEVER rent from them again.

David was AMAZING! Very helpful and insightful! Had a extra long flight, and had to switch from enterprise to ACE last minute. Although still pricey for a rental, for a last inure rental– it was def worth the extra money! Not to mention, David offered spectacular customer service!

I had planned on completing my reservation but was met with rude and unsatisfactory service. The first car I received was filthy and reaked of smoke. I asked for another one and the ACE representatives acted as if it was a chore to get me a new one. When I got into the second car, it was the same story: dirty and smoky. When I went back to the desk again, the man said «if I give you another one, are you going to tell me it smells like smoke too?» To this I asked if I could cancel my reservation and I would look for a different company. My experience with Enterprise was drastically different. They were quick to help. Quick to give me a free upgrade.

Worst experience with any company in the history of my life. And obviously the worst rental car experience ever. I am not even sure this is a real company. I rented a Toyota Corolla from the Atlanta airport for 4 days. First it took 30 min just to get the car and there was NO LINE.
I noticed the car was shaky when I drove it an hour away from the airport. Wobbling side to side and had poor alignment. I thought it was a bad road or something but it went on for two days. ACE refused to come give me a new car. I had to called 3 – 4 times and finally someone came and towed the car back to Atlanta because I was afraid to drive it.
They refused to give me a new one, charged me $ 90 for towing their broken car and refused to give me a discount for only having it two days. They also swore to me nothing was wrong with the car and they rented it to someone else.
Upon trying to get in touch with a manager to clear these charges I was told only «Joseph» could assist me with clearing charges and it was «out of their hands». I spoke with 4 different people who could not be of help. I called looking for Joseph 6 – 7 times over 4 days. Each time I was told he was out of the office. It is obvious I will never hear from him again and I will have to fight these bogus charges with my credit card company.
STAY AWAY.

Was a decent experience. Man was nice at the desk. Took care of us efficiently and all charges were as described. Great for the price.

Worst customer service ever. Very unfriendly. My flight was 4 hours late and when I checked in for my car they had canceled my rental. Apparently they only hold reservations for two hours. I understand your policy, but don’t refuse to help out a paying customer. Even the supervisor was a jerk and didnt want to help me out. Not a great business practice when you share a building with 15 other rental car companies. Never again. Thank you Dollar Rental Car for prompt and friendly service.

Beware! Your cheap rental goes up by $ 100’s when you go to pick up your rental. Hidden fees everywhere! They charge you till your flight leaves no matter how early you turn it in. They charge outrageous fees no matter what your reservation says. My $ 88.50 was $ 231+$ 200 reservation hold after fees. I left and went to AVIS.
