Bad customer service… Ordered a ice coffee online… Got there 10 minutes later and ask about my ice coffee. Worker says«I’ve got a long line and a bunch of orders»… Ok… Waited another 10 minutes and asked another worker… She says, «O… Here it is!!» Wth?!

The worst starbucks I have been to. The place was Sooo filthy. Both bathrooms was trashed. Behind the counter was a mess. Employees snacking in the front. 4 workers. Place wasn’t even busy. Was ridiculous. Needs new management. Thank goodness we was just driving by. If I was living there, I would petition that place to shut down.

The best part of this place is the manager, Tammy! She always calls me by name and remembers what my kids and I order. Starbucks has a great reputation anyways, but this one I call«my Starbucks.» It is even better than most:) Thanks Colfax Starbucks:)

This has been everything from my office, to my parlor, to my favorite Colfax breakfast spot, to my Hwy 80 pit stop, to my Colfax community pulse, to my happy place period for the last ten years. Ive seen people come and go behind that counter, watched some ridiculous humanity ordering coffee and tearing up the toilets. For the volume and kind of «Burger King» beating this place takes from every socioeconomic sector under the sun i have to say its the very nicest Starbucks ive ever been to! I started my habit in Vancouver in 1990 and left an annoying«Ooh La La» SF Fidi knee-jerk routine to cross over to true corporate coffee. My big sis is a double fisted Peets professional anchored from CAL and somehow my daughter caught that bug from her Auntie. Me? Im a Starbucks girl tried and true. I do brew or a Flat White — I’m simple. And Colfax? Thanks for the pics of the town Founder there with the latest remodel– and lovin up an incredible crew that nurtures CALFire and CHP not to mention most bleary-eyed mommies and even more random Bay Area tahoe-bound types and my miscellaneous self. This store is just the perfect storm of corporation meets community, with room to grow. Thank you!

I visited this Starbucks recently over a holiday weekend. This Place has a huge inside seating area and a small parking lot. It is very easy off and on the freeway. The drink I got was spot on despite the post holiday craziness and the condition of the place. The employees were tired and slammed but friendly despite there was a steady long line. They needed more help and no one was managing. 3 stars because of the condition of the café and the only bathroom was trashed(line for the one bathroom was crazy long and people relieving themselves out back behind the propane tank) and the other one still broken from nearly a year ago or more.(If it is blocked off and not fixed for that long it appears like it is a staff bathroom.) During less busy periods this is probably a nice location. Solid for drinks at any time.

Stopped at this Starbucks on the way home from Tahoe. Staff was friendly, the drink as expected. So why not 5 stars? The scary looking guy in the parking lot. He could have been a customer, since he had a Starbucks cup in his hand. But he stared at us as we got out of the car, when we came back out and got in the car, and as we drove away. He looked like a cross among Charles Manson, Evel Knievel and Little Joe from«Bonanza.» Exercise caution.

Just have to say, we got in here just ahead of a family reunion road trip(25 people), a cycling group(15 people) and various other patrons. All told, the line literally formed out the door in a matter of seconds. The employees of this Starbucks reacted with professionalism and grace in the face of a bunch of caffeine starved, potentially grumpy individuals. Great job guys!

One of the largest Starbucks I’ve ever seen, I wonder what it was before it became Starbucks. Too bad I didn’t have time to bask in all its open seating. The flat white I ordered tasted great and was the hottest one I’ve had yet. Well done ladies!

Been to this Starbucks ½ dozen times. The staff is always friendly and fast. Restrooms are busy, but clean. This is the last Starbucks before the mountains or the first if you’re coming out of the mountains. Easy on and off I-80. Parking lot can be busy, but there’s always a space when I need one.

We always stop here on our way to and from Reno. We went today(2÷14÷15) around 5/6pm. The store was busy and dirty. The floors had spills of both drinks and food all over the place. There were no napkins or straws at the coffee fixing table. The bathrooms were dirty and out of toilet paper, paper towels, and seat covers(thank god I had tissues in my purse!). We informed the baristas and they didn’t care. I get that you’re busy, but your store is filthy! Drinks turned out though, so that’s worth the one star.

This store had friendly employees, a clean café and their service was quick! I’d definitely recommend this as your coffee stop through town.

Do not stop here if you want efficient service for s quick coffee on the go. Trust us, wait the extra 10miles to get off at the forrest hill exit for much faster service. While the staff seemed friendly, the management of how best to use 6 staff members left a lot to be desired on our Sunday return from Tahoe at only 2pm in the day(e.g. 1 cashier for a 14+ person line, 1 person making the mixed coffee drinks, 2 workers on drive-through, and 2 more staff who spent the vast majority of their time wandering around despite the fact that the milk & sugar and also the sandwich stations/displays were nearly out of supplies. More to the point of our experience is that we simply ordered ice coffee, not an espresso or other specialty coffee and there seemed to be no understanding of the suggestion that they have someone who can make the simple drinks separately from the barrista. 1:34pm. I was having a craptastic day, when I pulled into the drive thru to get a coffee. Ordered my drink and pulled up so the guy behind me could order. That’s when I realized I had forgotten my purse. WONDERFUL… so I waited for the three cars in front of me to get there drinks, and when it was finally my turn, I thought about just drivin g thru and not stopping, but, no, I didn’t want to spread my crap day to someone else .So I rolled up and told the girl I was sorry, but had forgotten my wallet. She handed me the coffee and said Merry Christmas… Colfax Starbucks YOUROCK

It’s where I need to go if I’m heading back up to Tahoe and I need that shot of caffeine and sugar to help power me up for that last leg. Sometimes you just really need a Starbucks and the easy access from 80 makes it quite accessible. I always walk in because I need to stretch my legs and use the loo. Friendly staff and the usual array of small goodies to add to your waistline.

How much do I love this Starbucks? Sooo much. The perfect stop leaving or arriving to Tahoe, this particular location gets my love for their consistency, cleanliness, friendliness, and generally excellency. They have some incredibly nice and competent baristas which make for a bright spot in your day. Today there were probably 100 people in the store when I was there, and everything was managed flawlessly by the team. Quite impressive. And I loved my brown rice/broccoli/kale bowl and banana bread which gave me succor to head back up the mountain. A must– stop off I-80.

I stop by this Starbucks on my way to/from Tahoe every time I go(at least 4⁄5 times a year). Short/Sweet, this is one of my favorite starbucks’. The drive-through is always a breeze, the employees always seem chipper and up-beat, and the food/drinks are always on point. Keep it up guys!

I was really hoping that one day Starbucks food selection would be really good. I get it though. Coffee and Tea are their thing and they’re not a restaurant. It is hard to ignore the fact that the pastries and sandwiches are totally pre made when the barista is cutting them out of little plastic bags and popping them in the case in front of you. They do make the best chai tea and always have the best coffee and coffee drinks. I really like this location too because of the people that work there. Always so nice. :)

we wanted to get coffee somewhere our return from Tahoe and GPS suggested this place. This is a little hard to naviagate too from the highway — with a sharp turn. They do have a small parking lot which is tough even for a compact. Anyway the service was OK — nothing great just ordinary(hence 2 stars)
