Chalet on the Hudson

This is a cozy venue for a smaller wedding with beautiful scenery along the Hudson. The staff were super nice AND kept things running smoothly. The wedding was supposed to be outside but on that day, the decision was made to move it indoors since the weather was on the chilly side. Everything was moved indoors without a hitch and then swept away after the ceremony to make room for the reception. The cocktail hour and dinner was catered by InnCredible and the food was nothing short of excellent. The cocktail hour offered a huge variety of appetizer foods from cheeses, vegetables, bruschetta, mini hotdogs and hamburgers, fried calamari, etc I had the salmon for dinner and it was cooked perfectly. Honestly, there weren’t too many plates left with food on them by the end of the night. Everyone at this wedding had a blast.

I had my graduation party here this past summer. First off, Bonnie is amazing. She was so welcoming and very helpful with every little detail. I loved so much about this place from the view of the Hudson River to the size. On the day of my party, once again Bonnie was great with everything. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I’m giving it 3 stars because we paid I believe $ 3 additional a person for a «candy buffet» but what we got was so embarrassing and humiliating. It was my party and I didn’t even know when they put the candy out and I didn’t get any because there were maybe 3 jars of the cheap mini candies you get when you go trick or treating on Halloween. We paid almost $ 250 for the candy buffet that probably cost them $ 40 to make. I constantly ranted about how excited I was for this candy buffet and how good it was going to be and what we ended up getting was horrifying. We could’ve taken that $ 250 and made huge table full of things from party city. Other than that incident, we didn’t have any other complaints. Still would recommend this place though. Just make sure if you pay for the candy buffet, you’re getting what you pay hundreds of dollars for.

Place has a pretty view of the Hudson. Place needs a facelift; it’s a mix between a restaurant/​catering hall/​meets your neighbors back yard deck. Food was terrible. Prime rib was very very pink (not edible.) Staff was friendly as they kept bringing me drinks. Cocktail could have been better, as it was the only wedding on sure they shoved us in a small corner. Utilize your space!!!
