Andy’s Chop Shop

Stopped in here when I was in the area for business and boy am I sad I don’t live in Coeur d’Alene just so I could have a consistently solid haircut. FINALLY a haircutter with some attention to detail who takes pride in every customer’s haircut. It was such a pleasure talking to Andy too. I can’t find this in Seattle, that’s for sure! And, you get a free soda or water while you wait! Comfy, casual, affordable, and professional — I will make a point to stop in and get a haircut if I am in the area again.

In town on vacation and needed a haircut. While I usually don’t trust five star reviews, in Andy’s case this is well deserved. Top notch haircut, great conversation, squeaky clean place, and reasonably priced. Can’t go wrong here.

Since Jay had the little barbershop where Thai Bamboo sits, I had never found a place that could cut my hair… While not perfect (never is) I found that Andy was professional, quick, and did what I wanted. I would recommend this for any guy. My hair was winter long. but with the hot weather already. I am glad I choose the chop Shop. Short wait, nice place. Free Pop too.

Love getting my hair cut here! Andy always does a perfect job, and it’s taken me years to find someone who can cut my hair and get it right every time. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and just feels like one of those old-​fashioned neighborhood barber shops where the guys would hang out all day. Big, overstuffed chairs, the TV’s on, the wifi is free and the haircuts are always great. Good location, great shop, perfect haircuts – I’d recommend it to anyone.

Today was my first time in to see Andy and it won’t be the last. This is the best haircut in the area and just and old fashioned barber shop. Andy was very friendly and did a very professional job.

Great locally owned barber shop. 15 plus tip for cut and neck shave. I walked in just as Andy was finishing with someone and was seated right away. I think he mainly takes walk ins. I was very pleased with the cut. Looks great, quick, good experience. I found my new barber here in Coeur d’Alene.

Great local barber shop! Great atmosphere with a really comfortable waiting area. Definitely has a man’s barber type of feel. Clean cut garage look without being tacky. Andy was very friendly and nice to talk to. Haircut and hot neck shave cost $ 15. Would definitely get my haircut here again!

Again, never disappointed with each visit for a haircut and always a good conversation with Andy while the hair is being cut!

Ok, here’s the deal. I’m particular about my hair cutting experience. I don’t necessarily want to go to a salon, but some of the places catering to men seem to have hair cutters that don’t really know how to handle my thick, wavy, Scottish hair. So invariably I end up with some chintzy cut that does not suit me.
Andy the proprietor and barber asked me what I wanted and after giving him a vague idea he delivered! No frills, no gimmicks, no bs, just a great haircut and straight razor neck shave for 15 bucks. Better yet no wait on Tuesday afternoon. That’s the rub, by writing this more wankers are sure to start visiting Andy, but that’s also how to keep him in business, a double edged sword. But I’d rather have to wait than see him not succeed. I will be back to this awesome shop with two old fashioned barber chairs placed on the classic black and white checkerboard floor, all thats missing is the barber pole out front, unless I missed it.
Go here, get a cut, you’ll be happy. Its a great place for a guy to get barbered up!

A great haircut, nice waiting area, and good info for a visitor to the area.

Andy has been cutting my hair since 1994. I was at WSU and would drive up here to only have him cut my hair. He gave both of my boys their very first cut as well. The best barber I have ever been to, no comparison. I drive from Spokane to his shop twice a month for our haircuts. His service and experience are the very best.
