I have been coming to this location for a couple of years now. It is in the Promenade shopping plaza on the southwest corner of Lyons and Wiles. Parking is convenient. They have parking spaces all over or you can choose the parking garage. I always park in the garage. I go during the week when most people are at work. It’s never busy during that time. They have learning material ranging from workbooks, flashcards to hands on stuff like craft items with paints, pottery wheels, sewing kits, science kits — kits galore. They have books, board games, puzzles, Legos, trains, cars, etc. For a small store, they manage to really stock it with a large quantity of options. They always seem to have what I am looking for and if they don’t they order it for me. Since I homeschool, I usually pick up some of my materials here. It takes a few days for a product to arrive if you have to order it, but at least you don’t have to pay for shipping! The staff is friendly and helpful. I can’t say I’ve ever had any issues returning something. They’re open Mon-Sat from 9 – 9 and on Sunday from 11 – 6. The hours on the Unilocal website for Sunday are listed incorrectly. The store is organized and clean. They usually have a door propped open, which makes it seem more inviting. If I am crunched for time and need to quickly grab a gift for a child, this is my store. It’s so easy to dart in, find something, pay and be on my way. I can always find something unique, even when I don’t have a lot of time to do it. Yeah, yeah it’s happened a time or 10, usually because I procrastinated. What can I say? I’m not a fan of shopping. Speaking of shopping, I’ll admit that it’s not exactly the cheapest place to shop for children. Although, raising children is rather expensive anyway. In this situation, I(mostly) believe quality trumps cost. Sorry, I didn’t give details about any of my experiences. I’ve been here way too many times. They’ve all been positive. I will come back in the future. ;-)
