160 Degrees/The Muffuletta

I was racially yelled at. I came in with my friends and got instantly stared down. I sat down where the manager proceeding to yell at me and call me a stealer and a «smart ass».

Ordered the garlic Parmesan wings with chili cheese fries and glass of Chardonnay wine. The wings were a bit plain so I asked if I could have some blue cheese to dip my wings in they said it was going to cost an extra $ 1.00 per little cup! Lol I found it very absurd to charge customers this when I just paid over $ 21.00 already. Yeah not returning. I’d get way better food and service in the surrounding restaurants from you.

How is this place still here? How do they have customers?
I ordered the Chili Dog, with no jalapeños and fries. Soda isn’t branded so I went with sweet tea. Service was the only positive thing about this visit. It was a complete disappointment and now I know why I’ve never been here. Hot dog was bland, basic beef dog. Cheese looked and tasted like nothing butt cheese whiz or something of the sort and the chili was non existent and tasteless.
I must say, there’s a good reason I’ve never been here. Probably will never come back.

Having been fortunate to visit New Orleans many times, I can attest to the authenticity of their Muffaletta. There is only one TRUE Muffaletta on their menu, called «Lupo’s Original». The others are just sandwiches (sorry).
Anyway, the Original was excellent, the homemade olive salad that they put on it was quite good. A half of a sandwich is more than enough for a hearty appetite. The meats they used were quality. I opted for hot Italian ham instead of Mortadella, and it gave the sandwich a little kick.
Do yourself a favor and get one, especially if you have never tried it. Tastes pretty similar to the ones found down on Canal street in the French District of the Big Easy. WHO DAT?!

Not a bad burger joint! It’s a build your burger type of place. I ordered a cheese burger w/​bacon, mushroom, ketchup, mayo, mustard, and lettuce (I know it’s plain) BUT IT WAS SO GOOD! Also, beer is served here.

We are lovers of all things Creole, Cajun, Southern, and New Orleans so we decided to try their muffulettas, and figured they’d be good based on the name of the place.
We both got the worse FOOD POISONING ever. We ordered different sandwiches… so you can figure that out on your own. I would never send anyone here to eat, not even someone who’s not nice… the amount of pain we went through from this food is not even comprehensible.
Also, we ordered our sandwiches without one topping– they added extra instead. Close it down.

Friendly staff, ordered chicken Philly to share with my son, I was not aware that it was only 6 Oz of chicken. I was disappointed for my 1^st visit.

Staff was very friendly and the service was good. Unfortunately the chicken wings were very dry and hard, the chili taste like chef boyardee with left over ground burger meat and fake tomato sauce, and the burger we ordered was a mess. very oily and sloppy. I feel bad leaving this review bc the staff is great.

I’ve been here a dozen times and I’m always surprised by how genuinely friendly the staff is. They are always eager to recommend something I might like and check up on me as I enjoy my meal. One employee in particular stands out. I wish I remembered her name.

Stopped at this place with my wife as the «10 wings for $ 10» sign caught her eye as we were walking by. Ordered said wings (half BBQ, half sweet n’ sour) and she had a big chicken salad and a piece of mudslide cake. Although the ambiance was OK, I thought it was a somewhat weird design choice for the dining room but shook it off as it doesn’t matter what the walls look like so long as the food is good. About 5 mins after my order was taken the cashier told me all they had were drumsticks, which I said was fine. They brought out the cake first and it was exactly like the kind you can buy in the frozen section at Publix; again, this was fine except I paid $ 6 for it. When my food came out the wings were overcooked and the BBQ sauce was actually more like ketchup. Hard to explain but the wings just seemed… off. In their defense my wife’s salad was pretty good and it was very big. I guess the only issue I really had was that I paid $ 28 for all 3 items which seems like a king’s ransom if you’re not satisfied with the meal. In retrospect, I should have gone to the salad-​place right around the corner.

The portions are HUGE!!! — the House Burger was a nice, I would say a B-​Burger, loads of fries. Bottom Line, if you are craving a burger and are in the Promenade, go visit these guys. The service rocks.

Been going here for many years. The girls are Friendly, the owner Jamie is a really great guy, very passionate about the product he puts out. The best part about this place is the fact that it is not only a burger joint but a sandwich shop as well. So screw those who say You can’t have your Burger and eat it too (Ok full disclosure I thinks its cake, but Burger just makes sense here). Great for groups who are undecided. Inevitabley someone in the group is gonna be on a «New Diet» BOOM! fresh delicious salads, «Check! Somebody gonna want to break their diet, BOOM! Try one of their many burger options, or my personal favorite the cheese steak. Ok ok I get it, for those who’ve had a Philly in Philly its not gonna be as good, but it comes close and you can get cheese wiz, Yep Cheez Wiz! The hoagie is perfectly toasted, the cheese is always perfectly melted, the beef is delicious. Hey and if you’re looking for a little kick have the girls add jalapeño’s to the usually suspects of onions and peppers. Anything you order always come out pipping hot and fresh! Do you friends and family a favor and stop here next time your in the Promenade.

Just had the cheesiest yummiest Phily cheesesteak! The staff is very nice and the food is great!

If you would love a delish burger on the run this place is for you. They can make it anyway you want with whatever toppings you crave. Downfall… Burgers can be on the sloppy side.

Burger & Wings Friday night. I’ve walked past here a few times but never thought to stop in, but the Friday night wing special just called my name. The wings we crispy & plump, my dining partners burger was just «ok». They ended up ditching the bun and just focused on the meat. The fries were also just «ok».
The service was excellent and they do offer Birch Beer, which was a plus. I’d come back for more wings and to try the Muffuletta.

I have never had the burgers here but this is my go to place when I get the craving for a Muffuletta. Are they the best Muffuletta’s I have had? No, but they are pretty decent and I will do what I need to do when I need my Muffuletta fix. Sadly I cannot walk into any sandwich establishment and satisfy my craving for this decadent New Orleans sandwich.
My go to here is the «Lupo’s Original», it is very good and if I close my eyes while eating I am almost transported back to Central Grocery in New Orleans. The only thing I would suggest is to possible warm the sandwich but I understand that they want to remain true to the Central Grocery version.
I recommend this place but like I said I cannot comment on the burgers.

Ok so the burgers here are pretty good. They are not amazing. They will not change your life or force you to change your underwear. It’s a good solid B– burger.
I haven’t tried their sandwiches so I can’t say anything about that. Will I come back? Yeah sure, when my other burger places are closed or I’m passing by.

Great burgers. HORRIBLE STAFF & MANAGEMENT. LThe owner Jaymie or James actually told me to «calm down» when I was telling him how his hostess was. Well they get it from somewherudere buddy. I will never eat there again and suggest u stay clear unless u don’t mind being talk to like shit.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food was pricey but not unreasonable. Ordered my food and let the waitress know about my fatal allergy, she went and brought back the manager. He was the rudest man I have ever had to deal with in the food industry. He was inconsiderate and insulted my intelligence. I will never return and advise all others to steer clear.

Where do I start, The hamburgers just ok and very much on pricey side. My daughter found a long hair in her burger towards her last few bites, she freaked out and tossed it away… I went up to the counter and explained to the cashier what had occurred and she took the plate from me so that she could bring it to the mgr/owner’s attention, instead of him coming over to offer some sort of resolution and/​or apology, he sent that cashier over to say, and I quote «Sorry For Any Inconvenience».Really! The mgr/​owner not once came to our table to address the issue, so I decided to go up to the counter and request his presence, I stood there for at least 10mins while he kept flipping burgers and totally disregarding or acknowledging me at all, when he finally decided to come out and acknowledge me he didn’t apologize at all, he just started out by saying «he didn’t see any hair and there’s so many scammers out there». The mgr/​owner and I had a back and forth conversation that got a little heated and absolutely went no where. I would never ever recommend or patronize this over priced hamburger joint again… The only recommendation I have for «THE MUFFULETTA» is to please send the mgr/​owner to basic course in customers service 101.

Ever go to one of those places where the staff was just paying attention to one another and you the customer feels like an after thought? Well this is one of those places. Place was straight and picked up but details were dirty, floors windows etc. Burger was attractive, well presented and had a good flavor but no way worth the price. Need a good manager.

Any place thaty serves tater tots is automatically 3 stars but the customer service and food made it 4. Great burger with fresh ingredients and it’s cooked almost in front of your eyes. They would definitely get my business again!!!
