Our business specializes in routine eye exams, vision care, disease co-management, glaucoma evalutations, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, red eye checks, contact lens’ evaluations and fitting, children’s exams, foreign object removal, LASIK consultations and even after-hours care for your urgent eye health matters.
We also specialize in all things optical by housing an in-optical lab and over 1,000 frames in our dispensary. Our highly trained staff and board-certified optometrists are always ready and willing to help you achieve your best sight possible.
History
Established in 1996.
Originated by Dr. LaRue Collins in 1996, Port St. John has been serving the vision needs of our Space Coast consistently for those 15 years. In 2010, the business passed over to his long-time employee, Robert Webster, who is dedicated to carrying on the traditions of community service and patient care established under Dr. Collins.

Business Owner
Born and raised in the Central Florida area, Dr. Webster graduated from Tavares High School in 1992 and accepted a full scholarship to Rollins College in Winter Park. An active member in the Rollins Outdoors Club, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry in 1996 before attending the Optometric School at Nova Southeastern in Ft. Lauderdale. He received his Doctorate of Optometry in 2000. Dr. Webster has worked for Dr. Collins for over eight years before taking over Oviedo and Port St. John Eye Care in November of 2010.
Married in 2002, Dr. Webster and his wife, Jennifer, have two young children. When he’s not actively seeing patients, the Webster’s love to go camping and hiking, watch movies or simply run around outside. Dr. Webster enjoys reading books and playing tennis or basketball (as well as poker).
Though it’s not usually his idea of a great time, his wife is an avid runner and he will occasionally join her in a local race. He loves to watch sports and roo
