A local landmark and true destination, the Cocoa Beach Pier offers much more than superb fishing and surfing. Extending 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean in the heart of Cocoa Beach, the Cocoa Beach Pier has earned a reputation over the years for its great fishing! Catches of many different types of fish are plentiful here (depending on the season) such as Red Fish, Whiting, Pompano, Tarpon, Snapper, Wahoo, Sheepshead, Flounder, Jack, Blue Fish, Sea Trout, Black Drum, Croaker, Grouper and more. Pier fishing opens at 6 AM daily. If you have any questions about fishing, just ask our friendly and dedicated bait and tackle attendants who have more than 60 years of combined fishing knowledge.

Today, the Pier draws more than one million visitors annually and is home to four restaurants, five tropical bars, gift shops and boutiques. The Pier is also the site of immensely popular annual surfing, fundraising and social events.

History

Established in 1962.

A true Central Florida landmark, the historic Cocoa Beach Pier was built by the Stottler family in 1962 and over the years has evolved into an iconic beach destination for families. The world-​famous Pier, which draws more than one million visitors annually, spans 800 feet in length and is currently home to five restaurants and bars, including the award-​winning Atlantic Ocean Grille, along with numerous gift shops such as The Pier Shop. In the spring of 2014, David Siegel, President and CEO of Westgate Resorts, and longtime business associate Jim Gissy purchased the Cocoa Beach Pier from the Stottler family with plans to renovate the pier and make it the premier family dining and entertainment destination for the Central Florida/​Cocoa Beach community. Both men have strong ties to the Central Florida region and look forward to continuing and enhancing the wonderful traditions of the Cocoa Beach Pier.

This place was so cool! We stopped by on are way to cocoa beach. Drinks were good. The view is nice! Didn’t get a chance to try out the food cause we had eaten else where before heading out to the pier. Will definitely be coming back! The people were welcoming as well.

With the exception of the 15.00 parking lot fee and the couple of bucks they charge to go to the end of the pier it’s pretty cool.
They should give you discount coupons to use at the Tiki Bar at least.
We always stop by though and if there’s some surfers out that’s pretty cool too.

I was shocked when the guy on thr peir asked for 2 $ as an admission fee! Excuse me admission for what exactly? I went to Santa Monica peir and it was all free and waaaaay better and more rich in terms of resturants and shops. this peir is too busy and it feels so uncomfortable especially for families.

This is the place to go to eat, drink and see the best that the ocean views has to offer. We first visited the Pier before Westgate was involved and it was nice then but it is now remodeled, better food and the restrooms very clean. Love to sit outside but sometimes it is too crowded that we need to sit indoors which still has nice views. All of the food and drinks we’ve had are excellent and will continue to visit and bring family and friends to share this magical spot. Parking can be a problem if it is a busy day so prepare to walk a distance if this is the case. I think there needs to be more wait staff as the Pier restaurants are usually busy and these poor servers have a hard time keeping up. They are though extremely friendly and do provide good service. Nice to rent some chairs and an umbrella to finish off the day.

Not worth the time to stop and see. Go over to the Cocoa beach village instead. This was a seedy over priced rest stop feeling area. We should have realized this when we passed a place called «Cheaters Gentlemen» club on the road before the turn into this dandy hole. You can’t get out on the pier unless you buy something at one of the shops or pay. The first half of the pier is a bar and a very expensive gift, (more like thrift store) and there are several bathrooms but they seem more to be lived in and used by I guess people maybe living under the pier. In all just not what we envisioned this place like. It did seem to be a popular surf spot so if your there for the water and the surf then it may be worth your time. I didn’t accutual see anyone surf. There were plenty of people on boards in the water but I watched for a bit and they all just spent a large amount of time swimming in circles and drifting around.

There are a multitude of reasons we don’t go there… but the list is long and boring… spend money else where at local shops that support the local economy.
Westgate hasn’t done anything for the local community that I’ve personally seen except charge exorbitant parking fees and over charge for food and beverages on the pier. I don’t go there anymore, it’s not someplace I“d recommend to go to as a tourist…
And the other frustration is the little guy who wants to collect a dollar to walk to the end of the pier. You put a tiki bar at the end of the pier, and charge a dollar to walk out there? That’s extortion…
Oh, wait… I’m not going because of your prices…

If you’re looking for a great time outdoors by the water where you can enjoy the waves and smell the fresh ocean… This is the place. Drinks were delicious and the Margaritas were excellent.
Great place to come and hang out with friends and family. Definitely a must in Cocoa Beach!!!

I love coming here and drinking coffee in the morning! it is so relaxing! A Cocoa Beach Landmark! watching the surfers, people fishing, and the waves roll in.
I hate coming here at night and paying for overpriced drinks from rude bartenders. My daughter who is 14 was sitting next to me and she ordered a strawberry daiquiri (no alcohol of course) and the bartender says I dont have time right now I will get to it shortly. I told her what I thought of her.

Beach was okay. $ 10 for parking was a joke. I’ve never been to Cocoa but can say I prefer Clearwater or Smyrna beaches now. Even Canaveral seashore is much nicer and cleaner, there were a lot of homeless people under the pier at Cocoa and the gentlemen taking admission money seemed more concerned with his iPhone then interacting with beach goers.
If you want the typical tourist beach then this is it. But if your willing to pack your lunch and take a hike id head over to the Canaveral Seashore.

This beach creeps me out because there are drunkies hanging out when they should not leave their couch and seaweed which covered the beach that feels like I’m stepping or being wrapped by thousands of garden snakes.
After going to Clearwater beach, I started appreciating the live sand dollars under my feet as it doesn’t feel like something is attacking me. My in-​laws wanted us to return to Coco Beach with them that week and have mentioned the tides were low and there were no seaweed invasion, but I decided to hit Clearwater beach instead.
Coco Beach will just have to be another trip some other time (without the in-​laws).

We visit Florida several times a year and usually head over to Cocoa Beach a day or two. This time we decided we would go try the Pier for some lunch
and drinks. When we arrived, we first noticed that the parking is very limited, and thats probably why they feel they can charge $ 15 to park. I’m not sure about others, but I don’t feel like spending $ 15 to park for the privilege to go spend probably another $ 100 on lunch and drinks for my wife and I. Sorry, there are just too many places to park for free for the right to go spend our money. We went to Coconuts on the Beach and parked very close for free and had a great time eating and drinking right on the beach while listening to a live band.

First time here and it was a decent experience. We went specifically to fish off the pier at night. The gentleman that was working at the admission entrance was super nice. There was a family wanting to enter and the husband became extremely irate with this employee regarding the $ 2 admission fee. I understand most piers do not charge an admission fee but the employee was able to maintain professionalism and explained its been charged forever. He also explained that if you have a receipt from any shop, restaurant or bar on the pier that it waives the admission fee for the entire group. Since I did not know there was a fee, we went and grabbed a water and came back. No biggie.
We then rented one pole. The fee for the pole was $ 20 plus a $ 20 deposit. The employee explained the rules and also informed us that his booth closed at 9:00pm and fishing ends at 10:00pm. If you return after his booth closes then you just head to the bar and collect your deposit.
All in all its a relatively inexpensive way to have some fun and there is a tiki bar at the end of the pier as well. The young lady working there was also super friendly.
We usually go on fishing excursions when we go to Cocoa Beach. This visit didn’t allow time for it so the pier fishing was a great alternative.

Service was meh, wings were bland and fatty, drinks light but beer selections were good. The view is gorgeous, so stop for drinks and belly up to the bar, but don’t waste your time on food. We didn’t park but walked along the beach to the Pier. Super busy during the afternoon and evening. Definitely get down and have fun with the crazy Pelicans at the Tiki bar toward the end of the Pier. They’re bold and awesome! Great for kids before sundown. Nice crowd. Definitely recommended for Cocoa Beach visitors.

Fun spot. I definitely rate the tiki bar at the end of the pier at 5 stars but the pier overall, about average. There’s some good restaurants on the pier and it’s definitely good spot to have a cocktail and people watch. Great place to come at sunset. I’ve frequented this pier several times over the year. It’s a lot of fishermen and tourists but you can tell there’s still a few locals that frequent the bar at the end of the pier. The one annoying thing about this pier is how you have to pay to walk out there. It was $ 1 for sightseeing and more for fishing but the other day I went out there and handed him a dollar and he said at the first of the year now it’s $ 2 for sightseeing, just to walk out on the pier. Not cool. I usually, actually always, have a drink at the end of the pier when I come so it can add up. What they need to do is refund your money if you purchase a drink at the bar. Probably get more people to come visit you at the bar if you did that.
Overall fun time on the pier.

Great place to start your day in Cocoa if you pay the $ 10 to park next to the pier you can flash you parking ticket and entry onto the pier is free for your entire group (don’t know if there is a limit we had 3 in our party).
The pier was just sold to new owners word is there are changes coming hopefully these changes will all be positive. The pier is old and could use some renovations but hopefully the new owner will recognize the nostalgia and not forget the reasons it’s such a popular place.
