Business Owner

Bill was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Satellite Beach and Merritt Island. An avid surfer and kayaker, his is love for canoeing and kayaking throughout the State of Florida resulted in the birth of Adventure Kayak of Cocoa Beach Inc. in the year 2000. Since then he has taken hundreds and hundreds of kayak tours through this secluded paradise in Cocoa Beach and Merritt Island. His knowledge and love for the environment and wildlife enhance your tour of the area. He is a down to earth guy that you instantly feel comfortable with.

The reservations were easy to make and the prices were unbelievably fair. The gentleman I spoke to to set it all up was helpful in giving me directions to the launch. The guide was very friendly and had a great personality. She made sure we were comfortable and explained what we needed to know for steering, paddling, etc. We had 2 small kids with us and enjoyed riding tandem with them. Didn’t see manatees, but that’s nature sometimes. The mangrove trees were fun to go thru and we enjoyed the native birds and plant life. I would totally book with them again when I get a chance.

We went on a kayak trip during our stay at cocoa beach. We had Dale as our tour guide and he was just wonderful. He even brought cold bottled water for everyone and offered it periodically. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and informative. If you wanted more silence you could hang near the back of the group. We saw two manatees — one came right under my kayak! We also saw a dolphin who was splashing around hunting and a horseshoe crab. Dale actually picked up the crab and showed us its eyes, claws etc. We also paddled through some thick mangroves which definitely put the «adventure» in Adventure Kayak. Great exercise. Definitely wear sun protection as you are out in the open most of the time.

I really enjoyed this kayak tour. We went with Dale. He took his time and explained all the safety aspects, asked if we needed him to explain how to paddle and steer and helped us into the kayak. He explained all kinds of wild life including birds, trees, fish, and found us dolphins. He was was a very knowledgable patient guide. There were three of us in my family. Two in one canoe and I was in the other. I wanted a picture of the three of us. At the end he took the others to shore and came back out just so I could have him take our pictures.
It was an easy, safe, and professional kayak tour. I would recommend it for families.

We had a blast with our guide Dale and could not be more delighted with this trip. We met at Ramp Road park and were given a quick briefing and then outfitted with the kayak and life perservers. The equipment was top notch. We set out and at first were given time to get used to operating the kayak. The going was easy and very safe. About the half way point we came accross a group of Manatees and that a very exciting experience as they really interacted with us. Dale explained a lot about the Manatees the whole time. If that experience was not enough on the way back they led us through the dense part of the mangroves. It was spectatular and by far the tour with the most value and fun in Florida.

Our guide Ed was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and vegetation. The pace was slow and easy at the beginning, then a thunderstorm was coming in so we moved quicker (which actually made our group happy as we are experienced kayakers). Beautiful and challenging to get through the mangroves, we saw the shadow of a manatee but that was it.

Spent the morning with our guide Ed and a few others paddling at a nice pace observing wildlife and learning some local info. Equipment is good, route is safe and yet you feel like you’ve really traveled some distance. There is a public restroom at the launch for a quick change out of your salty togs. You shouldn’t be wet at the end of your paddle but you might catch a few splashes. The journey through the mangrove canopy was very cool. The amount of time Ed spent with us was much more generous than expected. Very good value. Get away from the madness of the mouse vacation frenzy and paddle with nature. Single or double available.
