Red Barn Clubhouse

While I’ve seen the Cobleskill Golf Course and Country Club on Unilocal,I haven’t specifically seen the Red Barn Clubhouse on Unilocal yet. I think it’s about time it gets some mention as this place is open to non-​golfers. For those that have been around Schoharie County a while, the Red Barn in Summit burned down a few years ago and the owners of the Red Barn now have a place at the Cobleskill Golf Course.
My family has been here many times over the past 2 – 3 years and has never been let down. The staff are very nice and know what they are doing. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Really, you can’t get a bad meal here.
I think one thing that always stands out is how fresh the salar bar is. Plenty of options, never a wilted green, 5 – 6 dressings to choose from, plus fresh rolls. The only thing I don’t like are the teeny-​tiny croutons in a bowl covered with plastic-​wrap. But besides this, it is always tasty and fresh.
Burgers are cooked to order and come with a generous order of fries.
The mac and cheese bowl is my kids personal favorite.
We’ve had both the chicken/​rice and the french onion soups and have not been disappointed.
I’ve had the prime rib, salmon dishes, burgers and light sandwiches and everything has been spot on.
Plus their selection of beers is pretty decent.
The place looks like it would be for country club members only… but it’s not. If you haven’t been here, then you have been missing out. Meals are great, prices are reasonable, and good times will be had by all.
