The soft, fat submarine roll is made of good bread. I watched the cook as she applied a dark, secret sauce, which is spread on both halves of the roll before any other ingredients are piled on. My cracked pepper turkey sub was fresh and tangy. And the meat is TRULY piled on! This is the heaviest sub I’ve ever carried home. Submarines are the only category I review on Unilocal, and Perrone’s footlong is the best I have ever tasted, at first impression.

Very homey little family-run farm stand with a sandwich and ice cream counter inside. The sandwiches are Boar’s Head, but with some nice accents(home-made, we think, roasted peppers) and run in the sub and make-your-own variety, with a couple of special(the one with olive loaf and cottage cheese, I did have the courage to try, but we did a Perrone’s special). The deli salads were a little heavy on sugar, and the bread(which always makes the sandwich) not so wonderful. Really friendly proprietors make it worth a stop if you need a quick bite or want some veggies/produce. Perry’s ice cream for the ice cream counter. Prices were on the high-normal side, $ 9 or so for a medium-sized sandwich. Note you are likely to drive right by it, since there’s virtually no sign; look for the plastic greenhouses on the north side of the road next to the car dealership. No restroom! Dining facilities inside are a few high tables, but there are picnic tables outside with a mountain ridge view if you come there in season.

HUGE delicious sandwiches! The owner hand makes the sandwiches fresh when you order. He is a super nice guy, very accommodating when I asked for a vegetarian sandwich. My friends got meat in their sandwiches and said it was very good. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They also serve pasta and other food along with ice cream. They also sell fresh produce, most of which the owner grows himself. They also have lots of flowers. Such a great place, can’t reccoomemd it enough!
