I was in area for work and asked the front desk attendant at my hotel for a place to eat. He directed me to Justine’s. Nice choice! I was greeted and seated promptly. The beer was cold, with a nice selection of local craft and national brands. I had the lasagna, it was fresh. hot and very good! Very good sauce. Fresh homemade bread! Portions were huge! Great for the locals to take home for another meal. Highly recommended! T. Franz

This is a great restaurant. Good variety of menu items, nice specials and good quality and service. I’ve eaten here a few times when visiting family and was never disappointed.

I do a lot of work in cobleskill. One of my clients sent me here for a Italian sub. It looked so good and smelled great. I decided to go back after work and order a sub for myself. The portions are huge. No way you can eat it all in one sitting, unless your a pig. Prepare to have plenty to take home for later. Every time I go in here it is packed. If you look at the menu, the prices seem a little high, but you get a lot of food. The staff here are very friendly. One of my favorite things on the menu is Justine’s house garlic bread. You can’t eat just one piece. If your looking for good food, this is the place to go. They do takeout and sit down dining.

Good food, great staff. Went here with my girlfriend. We had the Shrimp Scampi dinner and Chicken Tuscany. Both were good as well as Justine’s Bread. We also had the special which was fried Lasagna. Prices were good but beware the portion size. There’s nothing wrong with too much food but you can easily order one entrée and feed three people until they’re full and still have leftovers.

Justine’s is the best of the Italian restaurants in town. They have HUGE portions and everything is homemade. We always bring FAM ly here when they are in town.

Can’t type. Must… keep…eating. Flintstone sized portions of delicious dishes. Burgers and subs come on giant rolls and loaves. Enough pasta to feed the entire neighborhood with every dish.

Just finished dinner and it was amazing. Came in based on Unilocal reviews and it was well worth it. If i could give it 10 stars, I would. The staff was the friendliest I’ve met in a long time. Very personable and attentive. I wish this restaurant was located near me!

Fully satisfied and fully stuffed family. We are Italian and from Long Island, so it takes a lot to impress us! The portions are huge and everything we had was delicious(and there were 10 of us). Highly recommend the Mozzarella Sticks! Can’t wait to come back again!

Was recommended by our lantern tour guide from Howe Caverns. Great place for some really good italian food. Wait staff was fantastic, super big portions at reasonable prices. Was open till 11pm so plenty of time to get there if you go on the late tours, only 10 minute drive and well worth it!!!

Eating here as we speak and have to review! Seriously did not think we would find anything this good upstate(were coming from NYC/LI). Seafood is fresh, the taste is on point. Portions are huge. Seriously. Split an entrée between two people. Make this place your stop for dinner after a trip to Howe caverns. I am very impressed and nothing we ordered dissapointed. Apps: clams w garlic white wine sauce(the sauce is banging garlicky goodness) and fried calamari(cooked to perfection). Entrees: chicken parm(tender and juicy) and pasta carbonara(creamy and with shrimp cooked just right) Service: really attentive, sweet girl and quick! This place should get more than 5 stars! Come if you find yourself in the area. Oh yeah and house made garlic bread is out of this world.

Generous portions, family-friendly prices, quick service, friendly folks. We were passing through on a long drive across NY and sat outside on a pleasant evening. Our kids(11, 6, 4) were happy, especially as they brought out pizza slices for them right away, and so were we with sandwiches so big we couldn’t quite finish them. We make this trip on occasion and will plan to stop her next time instead of just stumbling upon it.

This place was amazing. It might look a little rough out front but is inside is very nice. The menu is full of delicious sounds meals. It was hard to choose where to start. The portion are huge. The house bread is amazing it is served with fresh garlic and shaved Parmesan. We also got garlic knots half with cheese half without and both were so good. My daughter and father split the chicken Parmesan and there was still plenty left for a snack. I got the sausage and chicken riggis and it was by far some of the best I have ever had. The wait staff was all very friendly and helpful. We will be stopping here anytime we go through. Thank you Nelson our waiter for being so good with the kids.

Stopped here on our way through the area. It was Father’s Day, a sunday, and late in the evening. Everything else in Cobleskill was closed, or about to, so we found Justine’s. The outside leaves something to be desired, and had me questioning our choice of eatery, but I’m glad we stopped in! The outside seating area is beautiful, but I definitely think they need to work on their appearance. Inside, however, is clean, and beautiful. The staff were very accomodating. We wanted to ordered a pizza to go — half white and half sauce, and they were more than happy to do just that. The pizza was some of the best I’ve ever had. It was amazing. We will definitely be back for more soon!

From the looks of the place on the outside I wondered about the food. But when I walked in and saw a pizza slice counter I knew this was going to be great. The dinning room was very appealing(no T. V’s big plus). Menu is huge and wanted to try it all. Homemade bread, amazing. We where a six top and we ordered six different meals. Had to try a slice of pizza just cheese it was close to New Haven style I have had since living there. I had the Chicken Justine’s with the pink sauce. Chicken cooked perfectly … The sauce was absolutely the best I have had any where in a restaurant. Portions are so big it’s crazy. Service was like no other I have seen in a small town or big city! Thank you Lauren, you made it even better. She was on point with local wines, specials and all around knowledge of the menu. Will be back when in the area, for sure.

I have now eaten at Justine’s ONCE. I have absolutely no interest in eating there again. Why? Oh, let’s just have a few bullet points here: * The tables were bare — no tablecloths, no placemats. Used silverware had to be placed on the tabletop — less than hygienic or appealing. * The waitress was flustered and rushed through her list of specials as if she was not sure she’d remember them all. Her rushing resulted in my ordering a meal that was inedible, because I did not get the entire description and it contained ingredients that I cannot touch. * The bread came. Slabs of bread with smears of something dark and massive cheese flakes haphazardly plunked here and there. No bread plates. Again — were we supposed to put bread on the table top? * My small 2⁄3 cup of salad came with 1⁄3 cup of thousand island dressing drowning it. * What I ordered was completely inedible, even when the offending sauce was scraped off — pasta underdone to raw, scallops raw and cold, spinach greasy, cheese barely warmed but congealed. * My husband’s chicken parm was so buried under a mound of marinara sauce it could have been a hubcap underneath, for all we knew. The larger the portion the cheaper and more processed the ingredients, usually. * The waitress took my meal and boxed it up and took away the bread plate when my husband had barely started his meal. It was clear that, though we had been polite and caused no fuss at all, we were being given the bum’s rush out of there. There are other great Italian places in Cobleskill — Little Italy is(and will remain) our favorite. And we know when a waitress is doing her best — this one could take a few lessons from our favorite, Amy, at Tops Diner, who is good natured and unflappable no matter what is happening in the kitchen. All in all, it was the worst restaurant meal I’d had in eighteen months. I highly recommend that you spend your money elsewhere.

Stopped here on our way back from Albany because of the great reviews. I ordered the Veal Parmegan. The bread they brought out drizzled with oil and cheese was excellent. The house salad was also very good. Then the Veal came out. First impression was that it was huge. Next I noticed the corners of the plates were chipped off creating sharp jagged edges. Next came the Veal. It was paper thin and lacked in the flavor area. The pasta and sauce it came with were average compared to other places. Not what I expected for a $ 20 meal. For dessert I had a cannoli which was delicious. Next time I come here it will probably be for an expresso and dessert.

Soooo good! I try to eat here every time I“m in the area. I also try to eat everything I order, but that never happens! I found them when looking for a caterer for my engagement party. It was a hot day, we had hot Italian food, but it was so delicious everyone ate 2 plates AND took food home. The cannoli cake was a perfect touch, everyone loved it!

Actually 4.5 Mangia! Awesome Italian food in a country setting. We were visiting the area and wanted to eat outside(there’s a main road and a gas station but still pretty nice view.) Our server was super sweet. The food was heavenly. We had the lasagna and ravioli with meatballs. The house bread was out of this world and can’t beat free ices tea refills. High recommend Justine’s!

This restaurant is listening to its customers. On a recent visit while picking my daughter up from campus, it was crowded but there was more help, the wait staff worked in teams/backing each other up, the owner walked around and talked to everyone and personally refilled our glasses and made sure all was well. I once again ordered the Chicken Sicilian and it was outstanding — not swimming this time. My daughter ordered one of the specials and loved it. They also had new salad plates that are larger. They are trying hard and it shows. I look forward to going here for the next 3 years while my daughter attends SUNY Cobleskill.
