History

Established in 1988.

Poole Flooring, Incorporated was founded in 1988 by Ronnie Poole. He was a former employee with a reputable Commercial Flooring company when he decided that his passion for floors and construction should take him beyond being a laborer employee. The company was originally called R.L. Poole Flooring and operated as a sole proprietor up until 2000. During the first years of inception, R.L. Poole Flooring had two employees. Ronnie Poole, as the Owner and Johnny Watkins, whom started as his helper. As New Construction boomed during the 1990’s, R.L. Poole Flooring grew from 2 employees to as many as 25 with up to 6 crews working at any time. During these busy years, R.L. Poole Flooring stayed focused on strictly Hardwood Floors. Unlike many other flooring companies that do a little bit of everything, we spend our time on one specialty. This keeps the quality in check and lets us stay up on the latest trends. In January of 2000, R.L. Poole Flooring became Poole Flooring, Inc.

Meet the Manager

Matt P.

Manager

Matt Poole grew up in the hardwood flooring business. His Father, Ronnie, started Poole Flooring when Matt was 1. As soon as Matt was able to work, he started helping the company in the summer. After graduating, he worked part time with the company as a crew leader. While working part time, he was also a full time Firefighter/​EMT. As the company has continued to evolve, Matt decided to take a full time position with the company as Vice President. His slight OCD and unique passion for wood floors has really made a big impact with the quality of the company’s work.

When not doing floors, Matt enjoys attending church, spending time with his wife and volunteering his time to the community with his local Fire & Rescue dept.
