History

Established in 2003.

Nick started out working as a subcontractor for local builders. In 2005 he started marketing to local homeowners, brought in Gerry as a business partner, and doing dock work. In 2006 we became a dealer for CMI vinyl shorewalls, and Shore Station boat lifts. Angie’s List started receiving reviews for us in 2008. In 2009 we started dealing with Hewitt and Lift Tech Marine, 2010 brought along Great Lakes Lift, and 2011 was Hartson-​Kennedy countertops. Our first website (www​.nickscus​tom​con​struc​tion​.com) was created in 2011 and we continue to work furiously to enhance our web presence and reach new customers.

Business Owner

In 1993 Nick started out in the construction industry working for a master carpenter doing windows, doors, cabinetry, and trim carpentry. He earned an engineering degree from Virginia Tech in 2001. Nick’s Custom Construction was founded in 2003 and is constantly expanding to offer more products and services to fulfill our customer’s needs.
