My lovely Aunty treated me to a Sakura Massage being the only one that I found in the area of Coalinga through the help of Unilocal,I was excited. The young lady I spoke to on the phone to arrange an appointment with was polite & helpful & told me the price of the massage I was interested in & I was all set to go, being booked in only half an hour before I rang was a great service to me. There was only 1 staff member there with limited English(which is fine) not the girl I spoke to on the phone, who then showed me to my room which was nice(not the VIP room although I didn’t ask about this as I thought it must be for some other amazing massage plus the limited English barrier) & gave me time to prepare for a 1hr Swedish massage. My Aunty wanted to pay for the massage before we began &(on the phone) I was told $ 60 for 60mins with a $ 15 gratuity for the masseuse which was also fine, she payed $ 78 as this is what my masseuse told us to pay, she seemed unsure when I mentioned $ 75…not sure why it wasn’t $ 75? Anyway it’s a difference of $ 3 right, so on we go… I found my masseuse unprofessional as not only did she bring her phone in with her but also kept looking at it whilst massaging me while it beeped away, that’s a big no in my massage books! Also my phone had a reminder that dinged & she asked me if I wanted my phone? a polite but strange gesture I thought as I’m wanting to switch off from everything through the massage. I told her soft to begin with but found this too flimsy in tying to relax so kept saying medium to hard however I didn’t find much difference in pressure until I had repeated myself a few times & this was also towards the end of massage. Maybe I’m too fussy however I found it too cold & had to ask her for another towel & to close the door which she replied with ‘It’s only me’ & I had to repeat again I was too cold with the door open(which should have been closed for privacy reasons). Thankfully she ended up also bringing in a heater. My bed was also heated which was great but I found the heater bit was digging into my body under the towels while I was laying there. Anyway I understand she was the only one there & I booked midweek, therefore I get that she was leaving the door open to deal with other potential clients whom came in 3 times, therefore I was left 3 times with door open while she attended enquiries to come back within the hour, half hour etc. I’m a little disappointed in the lack of care/professionalism & that there was only 1 staff member available — there should have at least been 2 on board so all of those other factors wouldn’t be so disappointing in my review. I don’t want to sound ungrateful either as this was a nice gift from my aunt. For future reference I would like to go back again to try the other massages but I would also make myself really clear in what I wanted, really shouldn’t have had to ask for basic things like extra towel, door closed etc but I found this unprofessional, no talk or ‘one moment please’ just up and out the door. I also understand Coalinga is a small, quiet town therefore maybe not very busy? I would be willing to give it another whirl & to give my feedback personally so this wouldn’t happen again in the future. Also the only image that is correct(to my knowledge as I saw a few other rooms) is the pool tank/foot massage poster, I completely forgot about taking any photos however the place was nice, clean & tidy.

I was coming thru this area and I was in need of a massage and I herd of Sakura Massage’s Grand Opening which is located on 193 Washington St. In Coalinga. I decided to check it out and I found that it’s in a nice location with private parking. when i entered the business i was greeted by a couple beautiful petite Chinese gals. I ended up going for a 1hr. massage. Wonderful deep tissue massage which worked out the knots in my back. They have VIP Rooms and table shower room too. Table shower was nice n refreshing especially on a hot day. All in all I have to say I’m very glad I stopped in. I will return when coming thru this area again. I recommend U people out there to check it out!!!
