Very well stocked library! I feel that libraries these days sell off too many of their books to make room for new furniture, self check-​out machines, and computer terminals. I’m not against the technological wave of the future, but libraries with poor book selections is unacceptable. In Coalinga, they squished the bookshelves pretty closely so that only one person can comfortably browse in an aisle, but I don’t mind that at all! Don’t get rid of books to make room– instead, make room for the books.
I was browsing here for just a few minutes, but I saw that there were 3 shelves of Joyce Carol Oates. Seriously. Lots of her earlier books that I don’t see in many other library branches.
I checked out Jhumpa Lahiria’s latest, _​The Lowland_​and David Foster Wallace’s final work. Super impressed with the selection. Many of the books were in great condition, new and old.
