When I want to find some new clothes, but don’t feel like throwing down a bunch of cash on something that I’m going to hate in two weeks, I go here. It’s one thing to spend a paycheck on stuff that is only going to shrink in the wash and then cause me to cry and scream, «You’re fat!» at myself in the mirror. It’s another to spend less than $ 10 on a few outfits that someone has already pre-shrunk for me. The great thing about this place is that they have daily deals. I don’t know what every day is, but the last time I checked, Thursday was 75% off of kid’s clothes and Saturday is 50% off of all clothes in the store. They also give you a discount if the date on the price tags of the clothes is over a certain amount of time(something like 2 or 3 weeks, you’d have to ask.) They size things out nicely here, so you don’t have to dig through 40 pair of medium pants when you’re looking for an extra large. Their clothing section is not as huge as the Goodwill across the street, but it does take up one half of the store, so it is sizable. They do not overprice the clothes and they are usually in awesome shape. They have a fitting room, 3 items at a time. and it closes 30 minutes before closing for«cleaning».(Read: We’re not staying late because you want to try on a bunch of clothes.) They sell furniture, books, knick knacks, appliances, etc. on the other half of the store. I would never, ever, ever buy furniture like couches in a secondhand store, because I am waaaaay to OCD to even think about bringing someone else’s bedbugs in my house, but it doesn’t look half bad. Most of the time when I come in here and buy their glassware, etc., they mark it down half price at the registers. They have tons of books here and I think the highest they price those are $ 1. I consider this place a real gem, mostly because I don’t believe in spending a ton of money on «wants» instead of «needs» and this place delivers a lot for very little. The downside to this is that there is at least one employee there who acts a little nuts. I know, I know, community outreach and all that, but this guy is «Take the kids out the car so he doesn’t look at them inappropriately» scary. I’ve also been in there at closing and they are RUDE, RUDE, RUDE, getting people out the door.(They are not rude the majority of the rest of the time, though, so don’t let this stop you.) What are you gonna do? I just leave my kids at home when I go to get my goods and smile at crazy guy so he gives me a lower price. I am not above flirting with the clinically insane if it pays off. Enjoy!(BTW, this is in the OSH parking lot.)
