My husband and I have came here for many occasions. We are«newer» to the valley and it always seems like a semi friendly bar. We have gotten to know the bouncers, the bartenders… Yet we definitely don’t frequent this bar. Tonight I had a great friend come to town and while we were out back talking to the bouncer(who was someone I recognized, and he was kind enough to ask me where my husband was, since he wasn’t with me) some girl had the audacity to approach us legit«yelling» that the bouncer needed to let us in because we were cute, now I can accept a compliment when I get one but don’t roll your eyes and take your pointy ass acrylics to my chest… REALLY?! Leggings and boots, is it unacceptable in clovis? Once she started pointing fingers, right into my chest and so painfully I knew something was wrong and I was lost, I hadn’t even stepped foot into the bar!!! So we decided to leave because I was actually frightened… The animosity my friend and I were greeted with blew my mind and also TERRIFIED me! At that point I told the bouncer(who i was still chatting with) that I won’t be going in there due to this crazy lady and he gave me my refund for the cover… At some point, the woman who I have gathered is the owner had come outside and yelled at him for giving me my money back… I HADN’T EVENMADEITTHROUGHTHEFUCKINGBACKGATE!!! Before I could step foot into the bar I thought was a «down home bar» I was made to feel like a fool because some broad in high waisted white washed jeans felt like my ugg boots one upped her… My bad!!! Fuck you outlaw i’d rather get stabbed elsewhere!

Sooo… my boyfriend and I stood out like a sore thumb. Here comes two asians, one in a collar shirt and a golf hat, the other in heel boots and an girly dress. Everyone was blonde, in denim, baseball caps, and leather jackets. I had mixed feelings prior to going, but soo glad we did. Didn’t get weird looks– which was what I was worried about. It was a cool bar. Love the live music! If I was buzz enough, I would’ve joined the line dance that was going on. The minute we walked in, the bartender was nice and inviting. She always checked up on us for drinks too.(Dk if she may have been the owner or not, but she was the only one bartending). Mixed drinks are not as strong, but still yummy. Everyone was drinking beer. We went around 8pm, didn’t have to pay a cover charge. After reading reviews, I had my cash ready but I guess we got lucky walking in early… maybe? No problem– SWEET! Overall I enjoyed the bar. I had a good time, wish we stayed longer. It didn’t start getting a good crowd until 10pm. I just moved to the Central Valley from SD, and I have been searching for some good bars to go to… I’m definitely adding Outlaw Tavern to my list.

Its a fun place with cheap beer. Pros: –Dancing!!! Its hard to find a place where you can actually dance and not be smooshed up next to everyone else dancing –Live band. That’s always fun… can’t say if they will be mind blowing, but anyone able to play an instrument is talented… right?! –There is a canister of ice chilled water right by the bouncer… it was pretty handy and delicious –The crowd. Um, yes, you are exactly correct in assuming that it will not be the most culturally diverse crowd, however, the age range and gender range is pretty wide spread. Cons: -$ 5 cover. Really?! UGH –There is only a 1 stall bathroom for girls. –If the line gets more than 3 girls… you are in the middle of the dance floor –Husbands bathroom experience… he said there was blood in the sink… that’s disgusting…

I always have a good night here. The ladies behind the bar are super nice and friendly. I left my phone in the bathroom and one of the ladies that worked there found it and ran down the street to give it to me after I had left. They have great people working there and a good crowd of people who come in. Thanks outlaws!

Had a blast on a Saturday night that featured a live band, almost didn’t go in because of the cover charge, it was well worth it though. The drinks and service were just OK and to be expected but again the band and ambience made up for it!
