Providing complete physical eye exams and comprehensive evaluations of the visual system. We are a family practice and see patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics. Our doctors emphasize the prevention of vision problems to minimize dependency on glasses or contact lenses.

Your eye exam and visual evaluation includes checking for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and any other eye pathology. Special care is given to guarantee that your prescription for glasses or contact lenses will be correct.

Specialized testing equipment such as OCT 3-​D scanning, digital photography of the inside and outside of the eye, and other state of the art instruments ensure that a thorough evaluation of your eyes is provided.

Our eye doctors treat and diagnose eye infections, red eyes, irritated or dry eyes, eye injuries, and perform foreign body removal. They co-​manage laser lasik and cataract surgery.

History

Established in 1981.

Dr. Nishio completed the Doctor of Optometry degree and a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. He completed a residency at the National Optometry Education Learning Center in Ohio. He earned a Masters degree in Education before finishing optometry school. He also graduated from California State University, Fresno with a degree in Biology. He manages offices in Clovis and Chowchilla which have been serving the area for over sixty years. His father founded the Chowchilla office, and his uncle the Clovis office. He is a member of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Nishio is trained and licensed to diagnose and treat glaucoma and other eye disease and injury

Dr. Wayne Nishio has been serving the communities of Clovis and Chowchilla for over thirty years. He is a graduate of the UC Berkeley School of Optometry and continues to expand his education with certification in glaucoma therapy, and other eye disease treatment and management.
