This place is consistently good all the way around. The service is impeccable. The food is always delicious. Never a long wait. We come here at least once a week and sometimes more and it’s always on point. This is seriously one of our Fresno favorites.

yes, very good sushi, crowded and just a little slow because of the crowd. but otherwise a very good place for sushi, poki salad was very good. Great selection of sushi.

What’s the definition of insanity??? Doing the same thing and expecting a different result??? 2nd time trying this place, and still haven’t eaten any food. First time 30 minutes and a glass of water, this time 18 minutes and not one employee even acknowledged our existence. Do yourself a favor, and walk across the parking lot to Groggs. Great lunch menu and they were genuinely happy to accept our business.

This place went downhill, service was slow, waitress was actually nice. The owner is probably the worst cook and host i have dealt with. The sushi was real bad, we returned one of the dishes and still got charged half the roll. This place used to be amazing, good bye Mr. Sushi #2

Waited an hour, got one soda and one beer, food was nowhere to be seen. The waitress was very apologetic and sorry about the wait, the issue seemed to be with the sushi chefs who seemed to be giving her grief over asking where our order was.

I enjoy this place. Customer service and food is great. I like the atmosphere they create: dim lights, good music. They have sushi bar service and dine-in. I always do dine-in. My favorite thing to get is either the bulgogi or the spicy pork bulgogi. I will have to say that even though I like this place, I found a hair once in my food. I forgive this place because I know things can happen every once in a while, but I hope they take precautions since the incident. They were kind enough to take the order off my tab, and give me another dish for free! Sushi: I always change rolls when I go eat at sushi places, so I can’t really speak much about their sushi. Overall, great place and I definitely wouldn’t mind going again.

This is my favorite sushi place in Fresno. Environment is always friendly and service is fast. They have great lunch and dinner box specials and the rolls are my personal favorite. Deep-fried, torched, delicious sauces, they are some of my favorites at fair price. Try it out for a quick lunch or dinner with a group.

Priced right, good quality, good service. There is better and worse quality in town, this place is reliable, fair and friendly.

I have been looking for a good sushi place in Fresno and I have found it. Nick at the sushi bar was great and he went beyound you would expected. I have been to Japan and many other asian contries; so I consider to my self a sushi gru. This is simply very good quality and presentations. Thanks for the experience.

Definitely loved the place. Friendly waitresses and sushi chefs, and cool environment. The sushi is definitely worth the price: nice, BIG, good quality chunks/slices of sushi — you get what you pay for! I thought I Love Sushi was the best, but then I came here and I think I’ve found a new favorite. Even my boyfriend liked it and he’s a picky sushi person. Definitely going back with my friends next time.

I love this little place for lunch. They have great cheap lunch specials. It’s like ten bucks and includes a drink and miso soup. I leave full and the sushi is so fresh.

I love this place! I had the Hot Night sushi roll and it was delicious. And the Jalapeño bombs are amaaaaaaazing! My husband got the spicy yakitori chicken and he said it was the best he’s had. Overall our dinner was delicious!

We LOVE this place! We have enjoyed great food and service dining in but we more frequently get orders to go. The rolls are always fresh and tasty and the poke salad is my favorite side! The Korean Beef meal is always a yummy choice as it comes with Miso Soup, Salad and Rice! I always ask them to make mine spicy and there is never any leftovers it’s so good! Quoted pickup times are always on point and when I go in later in the evening and place my order on my way home, they are usually pretty busy and I enjoy a cold Blue Moon while I wait. Staff is very friendly and always helpful with menu item selections.

Came here with my son for his first sushi experience! He had researched area sushi places and decided on this one. He picked correctly! This was a great choice. Very helpful servers — helped him make selections based on his likes. The best thing, it all tasted great! Very fresh and tasty. He especially liked the fried rice! We tried the Freeway 41 and Let Me See, both solid choices! Give this place a try, you’ll like it!

Definitely sorta-love this place. Reminds me of my visit when I went to Japan several years ago. Its very inviting, have a lot of unique qualities. Lots of pictures on the walls and signed shirts. Once you step in to the venue, you’ll be greeted by friendly staff from the bar and a server as well. You have the option of either seating at the bar and converse how your day was, or follow the host/hostee to be seated and also have the option where you’d like to seat, if only a specific chosen table is open. Music volume is perfectly on fleek! Its not too loud, nor its not too low, its just right! Further on, food was phenomenal. I ordered the«Orange Bloom», because my server loved them, so I took her word for it and ordered it. But man, food was presented well. Definitely a Unilocal Moment that I had to take a picture before devouring my ‘Orange Flower’ sushi… After finishing my meal, I asked my server, «How do you get to be on the wall? I want to be in it so bad.» And was told, «In order to be on our wall. You have to take 10 Rainbow Shots in under 20sec. And it has to be the order that we set it for you. You can’t pick and choose what shots to drink first out of sync… And if you do pick and choose out of sync, you’re automatically disqualified. No re-dos.» And first round was terrible, and did the second round, I was sofa king close by 1 sec… Grrrr… And by the third round, feeling all tipsy, I definitely was terrible than the first round… Side Note: I definitely will be back to do another re-do challenge all sober’d up. I want a selfie on the wall«That Joey succeeded the Rainbow Shot Challenge.» TO be continued…

My first thought about this place when I finished my meal was, «Eh.» I’ve definitely had better. The service was on point and our waiter was attentive, but the sushi was mediocre. We went around 5 and it wasn’t busy, but it showed in presentation. Service was excellent though!

Does the sushi number two you can go wrong. The entire menu is great. Remember it is a sushi shop. And this one is packed all the time. Sometimes we have to get takeout. Location is perfect, great service, casual environment, cold beer, good food, you can’t ask for any thing more. I recommend Mr. sushi with 5 stars

Service was fine and friendly but the food I ordered here was not too good. To start, the seaweed salad described on the menu is pretty deceiving. It’s basically a small, single scoop of seaweed salad covered over massive amounts of cucumber and some other type of shredded vegetable. The seaweed didn’t even go well with it either. I also ordered a mango/avocado roll. This is always pretty tasty at other places, but here I was really disappointed. The rice was dry, hard and was made really sloppy(see my pic) The beef bulgogi plate I ordered was good, but not good enough for me to come here again for it. It looked really bland and dry when I first was served with it, but after eating a few bites of it, it was still moist and cooked good enough. I also don’t see why they serve it with basic salad and thousand island dressing over it? I figure they can at least go with the norm of virtually all places that serve bulgogi, and just include kimchi with it.

This is another place where sushi is not authentic, so my search for the best sushi in Fresno and Clovis is still on. Here is why they failed as a sushi place and why 2 stars were awarded. Firstly a great sushi should not smell fishy, this is an indication of a poor sushi; seafood for sushi should be the freshest and should have a very fresh taste that does not resemble fishiness at all. Secondly, the sushi was very sloppily made, with the fish dangling over the rice, this is a big no-no for sushi, the fish should cover the rice perfectly. Thirdly with every sushi meal, a hot towel should be offered as a way to cleanse ones hands. I ordered the sushi platter that has 10 pieces of sushi for $ 15. Furthermore, their Unagi(grilled eel) was drenched in sauce, this is an embarrassment for any sushi maker, Unagi should taste good and not be drenched in sauce to hide the fishy-not fresh seafood you have. Also the kappamaki or cucumber roll was a blasphemy, it should look like a roll not a futomaki. The things I liked about this place was that they placed my sushi on the wooden block, and the service was very good, as the servers were friendly and that my drink were filled continuously. Their tempura which my sister had, failed miserably. It was not tempura at all, it was deep fried vegetables american style, it was almost orange in color and was not cooked in tempura batter, very disappointing here. Overall our bill was $ 49, which was very expensive for un authehtic japanese food.

This place is pretty decent for a restaurant in Fresno. Heard some good things about it and decided to try it out! Not much to complain about this place! Liked how they gave us extra spicy mayo sauce to dip our rolls in! Plenty of bar space to sit at so you can watch them make your sushi too Pros: –more variety of sushi rolls compared to other places in Fresno –not a lot of rice in their rolls –fresher raw fish on their rolls(compared to other Fresno restaurants) –good, friendly service –gave me extra spicy mayo: D(always a plus for me!) Cons: –a bit too pricey for the level of quality of sushi –mostly super young chefs that aren’t as experienced in my opinion so they take longer making the rolls(i was staring at them work hahahahaha) –super expensive nigiri(but what can you expect from a sushi restaurant in Fresno haha) –Climax Roll: spicy tuna was pretty good and fresh. Topped with unagi and wasabi sauce for those that love wasabi, there’s a hint of it in there –Touch Me: my favorite roll there. It has the crunchy texture from the tempura topped with alternating raw salmon and tuna on top –Royal Casino: liked this roll too! It was being torched and baked with this creamy sirarcha and spicy mayo sauce combo which was pretty good. Love cream cheese in it too!
