Just called this dude to see if he could come out to where I’m at to make a very minor repair to my car. He explained what the likely problem with my car was and told me how I could take care of it for free rather than coming out and charging me. Very polite and helpful.

Firas was fabulous! He changed our alternator and even took the time to educate us. He’s a well-​skilled mechanic and I highly recommend him!

Firas has come to my house a couple times to make minor repairs to a ’03 Mazda Protégé5 and so far I’ve been very satisfied with the work and prices. He responds promptly to my calls/​texts and answers any questions I have. He explains clearly what the issue is and what needs to be done, or gets back with an answer if he doesn’t know right away.

Sadly, my friend’s car window was broken into sat night and she want it to get it fix on ASAP on Sunday.
We went to one shop in Oakland. It was open but only to make appointments and we were told no window replacement/​repair shop is open on Sunday.
We decided to try anyway… We called everywhere. She and I was on our phone for 45 min calling so many places all the way from Berkeley to Fremont hoping someone can replace the broken car window on Sunday.
My friend talk to firas and she was told he could help my friend at 2pm.
At first we were surprised… No one said they had the window type for my friend’s car available on Sunday. They all said the window factory is closed Sunday and the earliest they can replace my friend’s window is Monday.
So I had my friend call him again to confirmed and also to see if we can see him bit earlier. It was about 11am in the morning at the time.
He didn’t picked up the second time and according to his voicemail we can text him too. So my friend text him asking if he has any earlier appointment. My friend was very specific, she mention in her text «window replacement for the back seat window behind the driver seat for Lexus 2010 is 250»
All Firas said was he will let me friend know by 1245pm if he can see my friend earlier.
Not only he didn’t get back to my friend by 1245pm but I have to text him to follow up again and again! Seriously! It was Sunday and I had to spend my Sunday waiting with my friend. Not the most fun thing to do to begin with. But we were hopeful to at least get her window replace so she can go to work next day on time.
After text back and forth around 2pm ish. frias said he might not have time today and asked if he can do it tomorrow. (Wth… Not the answer we want after we waited!) and then after explaining to him that we need it done today he then ask what type of window!
What the!!! Seriously… Had he not been listening? We called him and texted him to make sure he was able to do it in the first place and now he is asking what window???
At the end it turns out he doesn’t do window. He simply text back and said he don’t carry window and only provide car service!
At first I was pretty reassured all the good Unilocal reviews he has and I even speak up to my freaking out friend that this guy is decent base on Unilocal.

I approached Firas for a pre purchase inspection and he accommodated me though it was late in the day. He pointed out the problems in the car very well.
Once I had purchased the car, Firas helped me fix some of the issues with the car such as ABS sensor warning and fluid flushing. He came to my place on a Sunday and got the issues fixed when I was working on my errands. It was very convenient. Also he gave me good pricing.
He gave a clear quote/​estimate of how much would he charge before the job. Also he was always available over the phone/​Viber for any questions I have.

Tired of shops charging me ridiculous amount of money for my car. I was searching around for an independent mechanic that would quickly fix the problem with my car without having to pay hundreds ridiculous dollars for it. So here comes Firaz to the rescue.
Firaz is a great mechanic with surely a great experience and tremendous professionalism to his creditials. I have a Acura integra 1999 that was having a starter problem. Firaz diagnosed my car and it turned out that I have more than a starter problem. He informed me that I also have some coding errors in my acura as well. Man this guy knows his craft. Not only he managed to fix my starter and revert the codes in my whip. It only took him an hour and half for the repairs and He also did the parts and labor for a really reasonable price that you will never eeeever see the shops agreeing with the price. I will definitely contact firaz again for any of my car problems for here on out!

Firas was as good as I had hoped from the other reviews here. He worked around my impossible schedule, charged a fair rate, and did solid work. My 2004 minivan had damaged brakes in the rear, and after explaining the situation he laid out several options for replacing them. Absolutely no upselling — just honest appraisal and a sincere effort to keep costs down. I ended up paying what I wanted to, rather than what I expected to! I will definitely call Firas again for mobile repair.

Being a stereotypical girl and not knowing the first thing about cars, I decided to Unilocal auto repair and he was only a mile away from me. You might feel a little concerned that he works from home, but he gives great customer service anyway. I needed my brake pads changed and a new tail light. He didn’t hesitate to show me everything he was doing and what all the parts were. He also showed me what to look for or how to tell the difference in certain things if I ever went to a different mechanic. He got things done in about 30 minutes and my car feels brand new! I definitely recommend coming to him first and he can also come to you if need be!

I searched high and low for a Mobile Auto Technician and after asking just about everyone I know, a friend of a friend of a friend recommended I seek Firas on Unilocal.
I called him, left a voicemail and my phone call was quickly returned. Being that I was seeking help with a 1990 Ford Econoline 350 (an RV engine) I was expecting to hear my 20 something I can’t help you but he was actually willing to come out and take a look.
He came on a Sunday, met with my dad and did what he could. My father is not easy to please with Customer Service and I’m happy to say, my Father was very pleased with the Customer Service he received.

I found Firas through Unilocal.He provides a top notch service. Today, he installed a Catback Exhaust for my 2013 Scion FR-​S. The job was done in about an hour or so. He was knowledgeable and knew what he was doing, and pricing was very reasonable.

Found Firas through an online website. He was our saving grace. Came out to see why my 99 Infiniti i30 wouldn’t start. He testes the battery, cables, starter, fuel pump, etc twice. He stayed until figuring the security light was staying solid red and that it must be a security issue which it was. He offered his number for us to call if we needed coaching or had questions once we got to the dealership to have the security system reset and the keys reprogrammed which was indeed the reason the car didn’t start, the immobilizer had been activated. He was very thorough, explained step by step what he was doing, and just made me feel at ease. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured to schedule another follow up to remedy the situation. He’s a great mechanic and one I’ll trust to work on all my vehicles in the future.

WOW! Firas did a great job. He installed an aftermarket hitch for my car. It was done well and quite fast in my opinion. Although he said he didn’t want to rush it, I still felt it was quick! I highly recommend him because he tells you exactly what is going on and doesn’t skimp out on details.
Pretty flexible with time and good prices, I have already told me friends about him.

Wow! What great customer service they provide! They deserve more than 5 stars. I called them and they were quick to respond, and they were friendly and extremely flexible with my schedule. The owner Firas is really knowledgeable in his work and does quality work; he really knows what he’s doing and spends time explaining what the problem is and possible solutions. I was due for a major car tune up for my 2006 Honda Civic, and I had the job done in half the time and price of what the Honda stealership offered. Never again will I waste money or time with another auto repair service, it was quick, easy, and I got a chance to learn a few things about cars. They really take the time to diagnose the problem with your car and offer an affordable rate versus the other guys. I will be a returning customer for life, thank you guys so much!
