The gas was the lowest I could find in my area at $ 3.89, when Valero up the street was six cents higher. I pulled up not expecting a whole lot to be different, I mean how bad could pumping gas go? The area around the pumps was dirty, but not in the way that papers and wrappers were strewn about but you could see it had been at least several years since someone took a pressure washer to the area. Then I came to the pump. At first I though someone had potentially placed a credit card skimmer hoping to snatch up some card numbers and pins but after closer examination I could see that the pump had been damaged and the owners had elected not to replace or repair the damaged unit. After several attempts of the card not reading I went into the store to have the cashier swipe my card. The interior of the store was much like the area around the pumps. It may have been picked up but no one had taken the time to actually clean. I must say the store did look well stocked with the typical convenience store items. I let the cashier know the credit card reader had been damaged to which he replied«yeah, we know.» Paid for my fuel, filled up the truck without any hassles and left. Not sure if I’ll be back. The fuel may have been cheap but this place was a little too shady for my tastes.
