Express Lube

First time using this place and I was very satisfied. They were friendly, quoted time for service almost to the minute, had a nice clean waiting room for their customers and gave professional suggestions on future work that I might want to consider. This place is right up the street from our house so I will definitely be back!

Just found Xpress Lube but they were very professional, friendly, have a great waiting area and educated staff. I will always come back.

Always great service, and very helpful. This is the one place I can take my car to and feel like I am dealing with honest guys. Can’t beat the quick service, especially when you are in a hurry… Best place for oil changes around!

Can I rate at zero stars? I used to use this location quite a bit when I lived in the area. Now that I moved it less convenient but I still often find myself in the area and have brought a few cars there in the last year or so. Because of their location they are often less busy than a similar shop on Blackstone or Shaw. But now, I’ll happily wait in line for competent service rather than quicker service that ends up costing me more money.
They service my car, wrestling with my air cleaner telling me that I need to replace it maybe as the fasteners are tough to loosen due to over tightening. Ironically, they have been the only ones to service the car so…
I later got a check engine light, which I thought was unrelated. It wasn’t.
I have a smog test coming up, so I brought it in to get a quick oil change and see if they could tell me the code triggering the check engine light. I paid $ 20 for this and was told to change the front O2 sensor.
I went next door to Oreilly, regurgitated what I was told and nearly $ 200 later, I’m on my way home with a new sensor and tools.
After some research I decided to reverse course a bit. I never got an actual code from the tech, he just told me what to replace. The next day I returned what I had bought and got a cheapo code reader to see what was really going on.
The code said it was running lean. Could mean a few things first being a vacuum leak. O2 sensor possibly too, but normally that would be indicated by another code (didn’t get that one).
I took the car to a mechanic (a neighbor of mine actually) and discovered the following. The air box was damaged due to over tightening. The fasteners just spun in their housing not allowing the screw to back out. So much so that it could not be opened, and though they checked the box saying they had checked the air filter, they could not have possibly done so the second time.
Also, there was indeed a vacuum leak, from a disconnected hose probably from trying to wrestle with the air box the first time (they were the only ones that have messed with it). This caused the error code and the fact that they didn’t see this when servicing it the second time, they advised me on the faulty sensor.
Learned a few things from this that are obvious to most. Don’t solicit automotive advice from somebody who’s job is to change your wiper fluid. And if that guy gives it to you unsolicited, ignore him and find a mechanic.
Also, take my business elsewhere. I certainly could have been a more proactive car owner and checked the code sooner, but they specifically caused the code, damaged my car, and gave me poor advice (that I was charged for) that could have cost me a lot of money.
I would never ever use this location again. Incompetence does not begin to cover it.

Awful! The guy lied to me and said my car could only have the full synthetic oil which is 89 bucks. He said if I went with anything else I would have to sign a waiver that I understand it would void the warranty on my car and that it wouldn’t be there fault. Meanwhile I was on the phone with Nissan dealership and they said my car could have regular conventional oil which was stated in the owners manual. This place only wants your money, he could care less about anything else. Do not go here! They are liars.

They are fast, I’ll give them that. What I cannot understand is how their lack of professionalism is allowed on this side of town. They are rude, crude, and often say inappropriate things with in ear shot of customers.

I’m a fan of this place. I’ve been here three times and all three times they have taken 10 – 15 minutes max. I love how kind, quick, and efficient they are. Their waiting room is air conditioned and is clean, which is a plus. They checked the air on my tires, changed my oil, filled the fluids that needed to be filled, and I’m super satisfied. A little pricey, but nothing I’m upset about paying for. To me the fast time, and good service is worth the extra $ 5-​$ 10.

My wife had her oil changed a few months ago. Good price and very fast service. Recently, we noticed few spots in the driveway. She took it back and they fixed with no questions asked. It was appreciated.

Pretty much your typical oil change place. I came here and told them «knock it out, my dads in an appointment» And boy, did they knock it out! These guys need to strive for the Nascar crew. Fast.
A cigarette and some basic information later the oil was changed, wiper fluid filled, and basic safety checklist completed as expected (have no clue what oil brand but when I do oil I use Chevron).
$ 40 basically for it when I pay $ 35 up in the mountains so I’m not complaining on price.
They did advise me of a cracked belt. Will get a second opinion.
Either way, I’d go back if I’m in the area and need my oil changed.

These guys did a great job! They where quick and clean they didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need and I will defiantly be coming back!

$ 100 for an oil change. I get my car needs synthetic oil but that doesn’t give them the right to over charge. They said they would use a mobile 1 equivalent grade oil. I would think for $ 100 they would just use mobile 1.
