Citibank

So can you maybe hire some help… you guys suck. Way too slow… stood in line for 20 minutes and only 2 people on the counter.

Crooks! I will never bank with citi bank again!
I had a bank account with Citi Bank for years. When I bought a home through Bank of America I decided to open up a Bank of America account because I got special perks since my mortgage was through them. Instead of closing my Citi Bank account completely, I left about $ 280 in my account thinking I’d have 2 accounts. 8 months later, I got a letter in the mail from Citi bank stating I owed them $ 85.00. Apparently, my money was placed in a «backdraft account» because I had under $ 10,000.00 in my account. In this «backdraft account» they took money from my account each month as a penalty for not having $ 10,000.00 or more. Instead of having $ 280 (I was letting ut just sit there), I OWED them money! Thinking it was a misunderstanding, I went to the bank to «clear things up.» I spoke to a manager there who’s name starts with a CH (Chuck? Charles??) who was completely unhelpful and rude. He essentially said thats what I get for moving my money iver to Bank of America! Nevermind it’s MY money and I payed my taxes on said money! The manager’s douchebag attitude trickled down among the banks other workers as attitude was rampant. Customer service over the phone was also completely unhelpful. Despite my pleading and arguing, I got nothing back! These crooks robbed me. They took my money for deciding not to close my account with them out of a sense of loyalty!
Be weary of their services. Stay AWAY from Citi Bank. If I did not have my mortgage through B of A I’d sign up with a credit union, which is what I’d recommend to you. You get better rates through credit unions and they won’t try to screw you over like Citibank did me. My complaint lodged with the Better Business Bureau is all I have against them. I can’t believe my tax payer dollars were used to bail out Citi Bank (during the recession) only for them to turn around and screw me!
