History

Established in 2012.

Laura Duncan is trained to teach people from ages 7 – 107 to play piano! Allegro Piano School is a place that is warm, nurturing and fun. The School has 6 Yamaha full size weighted keyboards for groups and a Clavinova grand piano for private piano lessons. The front of the group classroom is covered in whiteboards and we have fun writing, clapping and learning new rhythms. Laura is an expert on teaching sight-​reading and knows some great tricks to unlock the mind when one is having difficulty fighting the ear!

What a wonderful place for kids to learn. The owner really knows how to get through to kids. It’s apparent that she loves teaching! I was prompted to write this review today after hearing the encouraging words that the teacher gave to my daughter when she could tell that my daughter was not practicing as much as she should be. Her words nearly brought a tear to my eye!
She teaches via the Way Cool Chords books and offers private lessons or group lessons.

This is such an awesome place! Our son went there tonight for an introductory lesson to get him prepared for his classes tomorrow and he really had a blast. Laura is an awesome person and we were blessed to have found her. The classes are held in an amazing space with tons of parking and different waiting rooms for the parents. It could NOT be more comfortable. Laura’s style is fun and exciting. Just what kids need. I remember hating my piano lessons as a kid as I sat week after week playing the most uninteresting songs ever thought up. There is NONE of that with Laura. Kids of all ages will want to come here. If you have ever wanted to get your kids or yourself into lessons you will not be disappointed here.
