Established in 2011 by Robert and Mai Cook. We are a small family run business doing our best to provide both quality and affordable feed to our customers in the Cloverdale and surrounding areas. We carry a full line of feed, farm, and pet supplies. You can find supplies for dogs, cats, farm animals, as well as birds, fish, reptiles.

I was on the fence whether to go back to Farm Yard and after reading the response to Andrew C.‘s review they have lost my business. It’s unfortunate that a «family owned business» would talk to anyone like that and try to justify the situation with that statement. «Enjoy your drive to Santa Rosa» wow just wow. We have shopped here a few times and have received inconsistent bales of straw and the cat food supply has dwindled down to all high priced bags as «we still haven’t received our shipment» after 2 weeks. Also, to the poor birds in super dirty cages in the back that no one will ever buy, I wish I could help you! And yes we will enjoy our Sunday drives to Fulton or Santa Rosa where you can get what you need and then some. Happy Trails

Paid a visit to this store for the first time this weekend. They are the closest store to me that carries Orijen dog food which I feed my two big dogs. Customer service was very nice and they had the preferred food well stocked. Will be visiting again next time I need to restock!

Santa Rosa, CA
I bought a few bales of alfalfa and the orchard mix. The orchard mix was fine but the straight alfalfa was moldy, really stemy, and the flowers inside were very dry and brittle. I returned the bale of alfalfa and paid the difference on the orchard mix. The biggest problem for me was driving the hay back. I live 2 hours to the closet feed store. So that was a bummer. I’m making sure I check the hay before I head home. The staff was helpful just not that we’ll versed on info about the product. The other downer is they are now only carrying Purina brand. Which I don’t prefer because of the ingredients. But overall it’s a good feed store with a OK selection.

I’ll go back to making the drive to Santa Rosa to go to Western Farm Center.

Picked up a bale of alfalfa in a pinch for$ 20.00+ and it was sunburned dry and FULL of stems. If I can help it, I will never return. Alfalfa is running 16 bucks and I don’t think overpricing is very nice to neighbors. I don’t think this store is animal friendly if you do that. Good luck. I would hate if people only came to my store as a last ditch effort!

Definitely the place for any and all of your animal needs. I stopped in on the way back from a Mendocino camping trip to buy chicken feed and was greeted by the very friendly owner. She gave me a tour of the building while our dogs ran around together. I said hello to the cats up for adoption (the owner has a relationship with a local shelter) and browsed the long wall of dog food options before taking my leave. Super awesome store.
