Billion Auto – Buick GMC of Des Moines

Don’t really want to help people they tell you what you want you want to hear over the phone and then when you come in offer you something way out of your price range and most the cars are way overpriced for the mileage go elsewhere unless you got tons of money to blow on a crappy basic car

I purchased a car on ¹⁄₂₅ & was happy with the salesman. The problems started when I went to pick it up. They knew I was coming with a check in hand, but didn’t even start getting the paperwork ready until I’d been waiting for over half an hour. An hour & a few sets of incorrect paperwork later, I was finally on my way home. Fast forward to ²⁄₇: I’m still waiting on them to send the check to pay off my trade-​in & the amount is now more than the 10 day payoff they were given on the 25^th. When I called on 2/​5, the finance guy neither apologized nor seemed to care. He said they were within the «normal» 15 day period (even though we discussed the 10 day payoff on the 25^th) & that my checks had been cut from the central office the night before. I am extremely disappointed at their lack of service after the sale.

Drove through the lot twice over the past month just to see inventory. Caught in the act both times by a salesman. Let the customer dictate if they want to talk with a salesman… not the dealer. Really would like to test drive and purchase a GMC Acadia… but not here. Too pushy!

I found a car i was interested in on their website and so i called in to speak with a salesman. After negotiating over the phone since the car would need to be brought in from another location we agreed on a price. He went to check on one more question i had about the car only to find that they didn’t have it anymore and it had been sold the previous day. Isn’t that something the salesman should check on before you ask about a price?

Today I visited Billion Auto on Hickman Road and was met by a young sales person, I informed him of what total price I could afford for him to show me the inventory, instead of a 12,000 car. He brought up a 18,000 and instead of keeping my monthly payments under $ 200 – 250.He brought in a car for over $ 300 monthly, each time I told him it’s not in my price range he would return after talking to sales person and feed me a bunch of lies, after I told him the car is listed over $ 2000.00 top top mint retail price, for being a base plain model with no warranty I was not going to pay that. The humiliating and conniving and manipulating scenarios they were feeding me made me sick. to me all they cared about was how much they could rip the customer off to get the most out of me, nothing about caring what the customer told them I was willing to pay or afford, if I told them 250 monthly they would come back with 320.00. The salesperson Tyler kept trying to turn the radio on over 3 times on the test drive while I was trying to listen to a sound coming from the engine. This place in my opinion is there to prey on people with medium credit or below by having them pay thousands over Kelly Blue Book top retail price. I will never visit there again and I hope others write about their experiences at Billion.
They have also ran my credit over 5 times bringing my credit rating down, I ended up getting a better car, better price and better financing at Willis Auto Campus 5% instead of 11% loan.
