Really nice place. Pet friendly! They give the four footed ones treats. Clean recently remodeled rooms. Free internet. Good breakfast. Would recommend if you are traveling. Very nice friendly staff.

I had a fairly decent price, through an email oromotion so I opted to book here for a couple days of work in the area. Check in — was not recognized as a rewards top tier member. I asked about upgraded rooms and they said none were available. Check out — I asked for a zero balance receipt and was told I couldn’t have one because I must have paid through someone else. I booked through best westerns site. Breakfast — decent. Hot and cold selections. The usual continental breakfast. Social hour — monday Tuesday and Wednesday(though they don’t tell you when you check in). A selection of snacks, pizza, wine, beer and soda. From 5 to 7 Staff — decent. Not overly friendly but not overtly rude either…

This place is fantastic! You walk in the door at 10:00 at night and there’s two Silver plates with warm chocolate chip cookies! The desk clerk was more than helpful and kind, suggesting a great delivery pizza place called Sarpinos. The rooms were very clean, & were pet friendly for our tuckered cat, all for a reasonable price. I definitely recommend anyone staying near Des Moines to stay here! A little tricky to find, but GPS or their friendly staff can help you find your way.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the wi-fi was free and strong, the continental breakfast was also free and plentiful. It’s completely no frills but I had a better experience here than I did at my two days at the Westin. Good job Days Inn.

We decided to make it a 2 day drive home from vacation and ended up stopping in Des Moines. Who knew we’d have some difficulty finding a room in Des Moines of all places. After stopping at a couple hotel/motels, I called a couple and was fortunate to find a room at the Best Western due to a cancellation. I had to laugh that the only available room was a King Suite, but at $ 110 it wasn’t bad. Overall the room was nice. I always enjoy a king size bed when staying in hotels and it was very comfortable. I sat in the hot tub after dinner but was disappointed in its lukewarm temperature. I also got in the pool long enough to find out it was frigid. Breakfast was included and it was more or less a continental breakfast. You can’t ask for much more when it’s free. Really the only downfall was discovered a few days after checkout. Turns out they had a computer«glitch» which caused several people who checked out the same day we did to be double billed. We were one of those lucky ones. I had 2 options, cancel my card and dispute the charge with my bank or wait 5 – 10 business days to get a credit. I don’t quite understand how they can charge it immediately, but it takes an act of Congress to get an invalid charge removed.
