Clio’s Rivers Edge Rv Park

My wife and I just spent the weekend at Clio’s Rivers Edge and really enjoyed our stay.
I didn’t have any negative experiences with the staff, and found everybody to be helpful and friendly. We arrived shortly after dark and were promptly checked in and escorted to our sight by a very helpful young man who directed us into our site. This was greatly appreciated with it being dark and the sight entry being between two very large, tightly spaced trees. The hookups were in a good location and everything worked fine. We were right along the river and under some very, very tall pine trees (look out for falling cones). The fenced in dog park was a really nice touch… it isn’t too big, but it’s big enough for the dogs to be able to run and play. The bathrooms were ok, but I have all my facilities in my trailer, so camp bathrooms don’t really matter to me. I agree that there seemed to be a lot of rules, but nothing really unreasonable (except no campfires). Really these rules just keep the idiots from ruining other peoples good times.
Was this place perfect? No, I haven’t found the perfect campground yet, but it was perfectly acceptable.
Pros: Helpful staff, very clean, really pretty location, Dog park really nice
Cons: Campsites pretty close to one another, Houses across the river ruin the illusion of being «out in the woods», The WIFI really was pretty useless, The train horn was extremely loud, Camping without a campfire sucks.
Note: if you are an inexperienced RV’er let them know beforehand… a rookie would have never gotten their trailer in or out of our campsite.

Awesome RV Park! I’ve been traveling with my fifth wheel for over 5 years and probably the most friendly staff that I’ve encountered. The Park is clean, sites spacious and roads paved. So much to do nearby and at least 5 or 6 golf courses within 5 miles. I stayed in C7 and loved that spot, nobody in front or in back of me. I plan on returning next summer, but this time will stay for a week instead of 3 days!

I highly recommend this RV Park. It’s clean, quiet and pretty. Lots of things to do nearby but you might not want to leave the park. The sites are spacious and many are in the trees. The management and maintenance people are very helpful. You’re near Graeagle and Blairsden and lots of golf courses. I was torn about leaving a review; on one hand I love the place, on the other hand I don’t want others to crowd it.

The campground gets 3 stars for the fact it is clean and the staff is pleasant. As you can see from their site map it is a semi large facility, the problem is there is only two toilet and shower stalls (each sex) for the entire place. I don’t think you could use the toilet stalls if you are over 200 pounds, too tall, or limited in your movements… yes, that small. Showers are 50 cents for 5 minutes. To top it off the wifi does not reach to all of the sites, so you pay $ 47 per night for limited services.

No complaints. The wifi is a bit slim, but except for that, my wife and I had a great time. The reception lady was nice and the price fair, but not cheap. The place is immaculately clean. Yes they are strict, but we would prefer rules that are enforced over chaos. Get better wifi and it will earn 5 stars. Clean and friendly. Lots of folks come back year after year. The owner has a cool 1950’s vintage truck and trailer in front. see you next year for sure!

I love this place! I basically grew up in this area, every summer anyway. And now that I’m older and have my own trailer, I have discovered that Clio River’s Edge is the ONLY local place I will stay and recommend.
The park is super-​clean, the owners and staff are nice and friendly, they allow dogs (and offer a dog run), the kids can play in the creek and ride their bikes, they have on-​site propane refills, free wi-​fi (near the office), and my favorite amenity… on-​site laundry facilities.
The location and the campground is gorgeous.
Some people have said in their reviews that the campground is too strict and/​or the owners are not very nice. I have never experienced that. Gloria and Kevin and their staff are great. They have made MAJOR improvements to this park (trust me, I remember what it used to be like!) and I think the rules are there to keep the park in tip-​top shape and safe and pleasant for everyone.
I make it a point to stay here every year and will continue to do so as long as I can.
P. S. Although it is packed and really busy during holiday weekends, the park does a great job with special events (bike parades, ice cream for the kids, etc) for 4^th of July… and possibly other summer holidays.

You know, we’ve camped here several times and although it’s close to Graeagle and all the great hikes and lakes, they make it tough to like the campground. They are VERY strict and the owners aren’t terribly friendly. On top of that now, they charge extra for dogs because they’ve had a problem with dogs in the past. So now even though my dogs are well behaved and we pick up after them, we have to pay an extra fee for EVERY dog for EVERY night. Also, check-​out is noon on the day you leave and they start circling your camp site like vultures about 11:30 a.m. If you want to stay until 6 p.m., it’s $ 16 extra. Really? Maybe some day they will have new owners and we’ll try it again.

My husband and I met some friends for a few nights camping last week at Clio’s.
The park is super clean and very quiet. It’s such a beautiful area; very close to lots of golf, cycling and sight seeing.
We did feel badly for our friends, however, and felt like they were being picked on by the management. Another of our friends came up and slept outside the trailer (not in a tent). Big no-​no and the management came by to let us know. Also, don’t make the mistake of putting your camp stove or grill on their picnic tables. That’s a big no-​no, too. (Maybe their tables shouldn’t be covered in molded plastic!) Also, we were asked to move our cars way too many times for reasons that just didn’t make sense! Didn’t feel like we could do anything right. Also, other folks in the campground felt free to make comments, too! It definitely appeals to an older, grumpier set of people that probably stay there regularly.
Not sure we would stay at Clio’s again. As nice as it is, it may not be worth the hand-​slapping.

Nice place… super clean, great location. Owners could use a lesson in manners and friendliness though. Very sad to come to a spot to unwind and relax only to encounter an ownership group who is wound up tighter than the people you vacationed to get away from! Lol.

This is our second stay at this RV park and we absolutely love it. It is super clean, very quiet and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The proximity to Graeagle is approximately 3 miles. Definitely biking distance and somewhat walkable (we walked to and from once). We will for sure be back!

We had a really great stay here over Memorial weekend. The staff was friendly and the park is spotless. A helpful guide took us to our space and showed us the layout of the Resort. They do have rules to make sure dogs are cleaned up after, trash is disposed of and that it is quiet at night which are appreciated. Our dogs had a great time there and played with a few other dogs in the dedicated dog park. It would be nice if they had more fire rings and concrete patios but all in all a nice experience.

This a beautiful well maintained rv park. We make a point to stay here when visiting the Graeagle area.
