The Star Maker School offers over 40 years of experience educating students, ages three thru adult in recreational and professional dance, acting, voice. The school prides itself on determining each student’s talent and focusing on their individual goals. Working closely with the parent, Star Maker offers guidance to coordinate an individualized program for each student. Whether your child wants to have fun, learn focus and feel accomplished or wants to land a role in the school play, a spot on the local dance team, a solo in the choir, we can provide the training and confidence they need to succeed. Our staff are all accomplished and credited with professional credits on Broadway, Tours, Music Videos, Film, TV and in Commercials and Print. Many are members of SAG/​AFTRA and Actor’s Equity. The school shares it’s personal networks both in the NYC area and on the west coast. Students train with a focus on performance and audition technique. Opportunities abound for all levels in-​house, locally, throughout central New Jersey and beyond. SMS helps parents navigate the world of professional representation for their talented children.

History

Established in 1975.

Opened for business in 1987 in the Flemington, NJ area, the school offered all aspects of performance instruction including Dance, Acting and Voice and was highly effective in training students for recreational, pre-​professional and professional work in the performance fields. In 2005 the school opened a second location in Clinton, NJ. Now located in Clinton, NJ only, the school continues to hire top instructors from Manhattan, NY and the surrounding communities to offer the best classes available to Hunterdon/​Somerset and Warren County residents.

Leesa is most proud of her recent work as coach and choreographer to Madonna and her female dance ensemble on the 2012 MDNA World Tour. Other credits include; music videos for NBC, Oxygen Network docu-​series ‘The Next Big Thing,’ Educational Children’s Videos Sony & Lions Gate, Nets, Knicks, 76-er’s, World’s Fair, World Tour Europe & the former Soviet Union, Juilliard School NYC, The Metropolitan Opera, NYC. She is a consultant, manager and promoter for talented youth.
