Fresh sushi, nicely prepared. Laid back atmosphere and readily available and convenient BYOB with liquor/beer store directly across the street.

I hesitated to go here for a while since the sushi place prior to it i didnt like, but i finally went for a sit fown dinner and was glad that i now have a sushi place to go to in clinton. Its not a fancy place, its small and simple, but its fine for a casual dinner out, or for take-out. It tasted fresh to me and i didnt get a stomach ache after like i do with a lot of sushi places. They also put the sushi in an intersting presentation. Very friendly waitress too.

Great fresh sushi. Their fish was fresh and tasty. Rice was perfect. Their lunch special is affordable. The ambience is cozy. I will be back.

So lucky to have a great sushi place here in Clinton – it is our go-to. LOVE it! Sushi is delicious and fresh. Would give 5 stars but the dine-in atmosphere could be more aesthetically pleasing. It’s not bad– it’s clean and atmosphere lighting, but typical takeout type chairs and tables simply don’t match the level of food excellence.

Sushi is great and the prices are fair. I always order takeout from here and it’s usually ready within fifteen minutes. The staff that work here are always friendly and courteous. The only thing I would suggest is maybe offer some coupons? The ones on their current take out menu are expired. Other than that, love this place! Delicious!

Neo sushi is surprisingly solid(for a sushi place in a strip plaza in NJ). All of the sushi is very fresh and well prepared. The specialty rolls are great and the service is good. The inside is small, but it’s not usually packed. Its not the best sushi in the world, but worth a visit if you are looking for something quick and good, Neo sushi is solid.

Love this sushi place! I go two times a week for dinner. Their speciality sushi rolls are phenomenal I highly recommend their amazing roll and clear soup! The upon noodles are great as well. The staff is nice and on weekdays it’s pretty quick. The teriyaki and cooked dishes are fresh and not greasy. They get really busy on weekends especially with take out orders.

My coworkers and I order lunch here at least once a week. Even with very large to-go orders, they are always timely and correct. Everything is fresh and delicious. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced.

This restaurant is solid. We have dined here three times now and have found the sushi fresh and of good value(nice portion sizes). Miso soup is flavorful(a little salty, which I like with miso). Spider roll, tuna, spicy tuna maki rolls are all good. No frills ambiance but clean and comfortable.

This place is crazily overrated. We arrived for dinner on a Sunday and the restaurant was literally empty — no customers, and no staff anywhere. After a few minutes, someone came out and seated us. Bellowing over the loud music AND the TV that were playing, we ordered a tuna roll, vegetable dumplings, curry coconut chicken and shrimp udon soup. I was presented with a soda that was somehow watered down beyond recognition. The veggie dumplings were recognizable as the ones you can get in a giant bag at the grocery store. The tuna roll was honestly the best part of the whole affair — it was fresh and fairly flavorful. My boyfriend said his entrée was pretty good, but I didn’t taste it so I can’t speak to that. My shrimp udon was completely tasteless. The shrimp were just steamed and rubbery, and the broth had no seasoning whatsoever. I had to dump soy sauce in it. The noodles were fine, but the veggies were completely raw and tasted a bit like kindling. Not a total disappointment, but definitely not how I wanted to spend my fifty bucks.

Unfortunately, my friends and I didn’t get to try the food here due to the bizarrely poor service. The three of us arrived around 6:30pm and waited a few minutes to be seated. We waited another 10 minutes before anyone came to ask us for drinks(we ordered 3 waters). After another 15 minutes, we never received our drinks, nor did the waiter return. We noticed the waiter passing by us in the dining area several times and taking care of a customer’s takeout order. After waiting patiently for a bit longer then failing to get our waiter’s attention, we eventually gave up and left, without any employees even noticing. This was the first time I’ve ever left a restaurant without ordering. I would have been understanding if the place had seemed busy… However, there was only 2 other tables with people and 1 of them seemed to be finished. Perhaps the staff was just having an off night, but I won’t be returning.

Wow. What a great experience! My boyfriend and I had just gotten off work and he was hungry so decided to go get some dinner. While we were driving home on 22 from Somerville we stopped at a pizza place. While we were looking at a menu a man came out and told us they were closed. When we got in the car we noticed that it was only 8:54 and they closed at 9. When we got to Neo Sushi we were greeted my a very friendly woman. My boyfriend decided instantly on the Double Honey roll which consisted of jalapeños, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and cilantro on top. I on the other hand needed to use the restroom. While I was in there my boyfriend, who is quite the conversationalist, was talking to the owner who greeted us and she told him that they were going to close early at 9 for Columbus Day, but they saw us pull up(at 9:05, after they were going to close) and decided to stay open. What a different experience from the first! I came out of the restroom and decided to get miso soup. The lady also said that they would just make us whatever we wanted as long as they had the ingredients, so I asked for a mango avocado hand roll because I had already eaten a small meal on my late break. While we were waiting for them to make our food(a VERY short wait for how well it was made!) we turned around and noticed they had Japanese soda! One of my favorite things! Once our food was made we thanked them and left. When we got home and opened our food we were very pleased with how it looked. My boyfriend took a bite of his roll and remarked how the roll really did seem to melt in your mouth like one of the other reviews said! I don’t understand how a sushi roll could melt in your mouth but he swore it did. I didn’t try any because I don’t like spicy food. We loved our experience and coming from a woman who is half Japanese and has grown up eating this cuisine the food was very good was well! We will be back!

We’ve been going to Neo Sushi for the last two months, amazing food and friendly service. The food quality is great and the owner told us he commutes every day from Brooklyn so that he can get fresh fish. BYOB and reasonable prices.
