I visited Greater Metro Orthopedic starting June of 2014 and saw Dr. Jander. He took the time to listen to my concerns regarding the pain in my hands. I had previously gone to another physician who had me on a plan of action, but when it wasn’t relieving the pain that Dr. became frustrated. Dr. Jander heard me out told me a diagnosis the other Dr. had not, and we confirmed through nerve testing. I had surgery for carpal tunnel on April 24th2015. All has gone very well. I was pleased and so was he with the outcome. He takes the time to explain everything to you. Any question I have ever asked, he had an answer. He is very kind, you are never left feeling like you are a bother or wasting his time. He is a great physician! The office experience: Reaching them via phone is a process! My primary care physician also had trouble reaching them. The wait to see the doctor can be long. Very long. My average visits, the lobby wait time had been 45 – 60 minutes and an additional wait once in the room of 15 – 30 minutes. Front desk staff was cordial not overly friendly but not rude either. The nurses were great always upbeat and helpful. Schedule your next appointment while there to save time on the phone. Billing: It was a good experience. I hadn’t experienced any issues or ever asked to pay more than a copay. They use tablets to check you in. Overall I would recommend Dr. Jander. His services are excellent… and for me with waiting for. If you hate a long wait you may want to go elsewhere Facility 3 stars. Amazing doctors earned the 4th for me.

My appointment was with Dr. Vestinia Bridges for a knee injury. She was recommended by my physician, who is great. I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment since I was a new patient and still was not seen until an hour and a half after my appointment time. I had to repeatedly get up(on a swollen knee and crutches) to inquire when I would be seen as other patients who came in after I did were seen by Dr. Bridges before I was. When I finally saw Dr. Bridges, she quickly diagnosed me with a torn ACL and MCL and urged that I have an MRIASAP. I was given a brace to help stabilize my knee but no direction beyond that from the doctor, apparently she had to many other things to do to speak with me about my injury. Thankfully the nurse was kind enough to answer some of my questions and get some answers from Dr. Bridges for me. The office assistants let me know that my insurance required pre-approval for the MRI that they would obtain before I could schedule an MRI and informed me that I should hear from them within 24 – 72 hours so I could schedule the MRI. When I did not hear from them after 3 days, I called to inquire and at that point I was informed by the authorizations department that their policy was to get all approvals within 5 days but they would move me to the top of their list given my situation. However, they were not able to obtain the approval because Dr. Bridges did not close out her notes. Another two days went by before I called back only to find out that Dr. Bridges went on vacation without closing out her notes despite reminders from the authorizations department. Due to Dr. Bridges negligence, her office could not continue the approvals process and I could not schedule an MRI. So I ended up sitting around for about 3 weeks with little to no instruction on how to care for my knee and prevent further injury and without knowing definitively the exact problem. Needless to say, I decided to find another doctor that would treat, and not ignore, my injury. I believe Dr. Bridges’ negligence made my injury worse as I developed serious scar tissue which took a lot of grueling and painful physical therapy to work through. If I could, I would give Dr. Bridges a negative star, the saving grace here was the nurse and the office assistants who provided good customer service.

My appointment was with Dr. James Roberson. He is amazing! Outstanding bedside manner and very knowledgeable! I have every confidence that he will be able to help get me moving again! Definitely a 5 star doctor and I rarely give someone a 3.5. Awesome!!!

I love them. I do. Dr. Sabloff, I will go anywhere to see you as my doc. But good lord these people are horrible at keeping things on time. This is my 7th appointment and they have never been on time(also applies to their Alexandria and Lorton locations). Today’s appointment was at least an hour late and I spent 10 minutes in my exam room listening to the nurses yell at each other about«being late.» Sigh. And awkward. 5 stars for Dr. Sabloff. 1 star for being on time. They do let you reschedule with no penalty if they are running way behind, but not hugely helpful if you drove 30 minutes to get to your appointment and took time off work in the first place.
