Located along the Connecticut Shoreline, Clinton Outlets has been THE shopping destination for high-​end brand name clothing at department-​store prices.
Conveniently located on I-​95 en route to Boston or New York, shop for your favorite Levi jeans or Under Armour gear. The outdoor outlet is a charming outdoor village center with over 60+ stores, literally something for everyone in the family.

A good deal can be found hidden in nooks and crannies scarcely throughout this outdoor mall.
One common theme among almost all the stores here is lack of quality management.
The customer service and sales techniques of the staff are novice at best.
Some store’s staff can be overwhelming and others can be unwelcoming.
I don’t want to get into specifics in some long angry rant about not being acknowledged at specific stores (Adidas, Brooks Brothers, Toys R Us, Zumies) (lol) but an overall lack of management at the majority of the stores here is a serious issue for me.
Granted I have a background in sales that may lead to a potential for me to be overly critical but the price points of these «outlets» (the only «outlet» prices are found on clearance racks, if you’re lucky) should reflect a better quality of staff.
That being said, the lack of quality staff and the chaotic layouts of some stores and the messiness of others are in my opinion a direct reflection of the mismanagement of these businesses.

These outlets have gone downhill! I was very disappointed in the shops except for a few. The restrooms are filthy!!! The doors don’t lock, there are no hooks for a coat or purse, no soap and sticky smelly floors!

We went shopping here the other day. They have a great selection of outlets and the prices were pretty good for an outlet store. I think that the building and lot is getting run down a little bit. Its not as kept up as the outlet stores in Westbrook, which we enjoy coming to more. Still a solid place to go and its not to have many of the outlet stores local to us instead of having to drive so far.

This has been a solid afternoon consumer for years. Consistently good. The stores do occasionally change– but places like Coach, the Gap, Off 5^th, and Calvin Klein are solid staples.

Good selection of outlets, although not as good as others in the area (like Wrentham in MA). These outlets aren’t that big. Best if you’re looking for athletic type apparel since there is a huge under armor and Nike, plus adidas. Many stores have little to no discount too which I don’t like, unless you happen to hit it on a weekend when everything is on sale.
There’s barely anything to eat while you’re here, so keep that in mind. The one café they have sucks and is overpriced.

So worth the drive from Springfield– an hour door to door. Free parking, great shopping. Checked in on Unilocal which entitled me to a coupon book. I went to guest services to pick it up while my son shopped in Polo. The coupon book was of no use there because you had to spend $ 250 and he didn’t. However, by the end of our trip that coupon book saved 3 of us a total of $ 62! So do the check in and get the book, you just never know.
I have been to outlet malls before but this is my fav. High end shops at reasonable prices. I especially like the Ann Taylor store as I get work clothes for much less than in the regular clothes.

Free parking, tons of high-​end stores at insanely discounted prices, easy to walk through, and easy to shop in. I got some excellent shirts at Polo and jeans at Levi’s, all way less than I’d pay anywhere else (and especially in London where I live.) So good.
Plus, if you check in on Unilocal,you get a discount book that ended up saving me and the people I was with about $ 70. Now that’a a deal.
The only thing they really need here is better food. Avoid the Bristol Café at all costs if you can and keep going to other spots for eats. But for shopping, stop and enjoy.

This outlet is a huge bonus to this area. Decent shopping here is really limited, but Clinton brings it when it comes to alternatives to Target in the southeast CT area. I do have to agree that some of the stores within the outlet aren’t worth your time or your money, but the ones that are worth it, will make your shopping life so much easier.
My must visits are the white-​girl essentials; BCBG, Kate Spade, Cole Hahn, Michael Kors, Black House White Market, and Coach. I also loved the beauty store with discounted Bumble and Bumble products, as well as Origin and MAC. Off 5 for Sax 5^th Ave is a not to miss, with great brands like Tory Burch, Balenciaga, and Prada.
The food and drink selection for refueling while shopping is pretty bleak, but they make up for it with super friendly and helpful store clerks, and beautifully clean and organized stores. Bathroom however makes this lose a full star, with stories of horror I’d rather not discuss. Just hold it. Will be absolutely returning however despite the bathroom blemish, because they have all my designer needs at a steep discount over driving to the actual stores in NY or west CT.

It’s quaint, but it’s not the best shopping center in CT. They have decent high end stores, but nothing great as one might expect. Coming here, I expected a wider range of stores, but I was disappointed. I’ll stick to shopping in outlets in NY, thanks.

Parking can be a pain at times, especially during an holiday sale events. I prefer the type of stores at this location vs the Tanger Outlets a few miles down the road.
Every store at this location has an outside entrance. I appreciate the walkway area to make it convenient to shop.
One downfall is the food: there is hardly any. I had to travel down the road for food to eat, which does not make it convenient to shop, eat, and then shop again.

The Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets are pretty nice in that the stores located here are a lot of the ones I tend to shop at. It is hard for me to truly love this outlet because I used to live next to the Premium Outlets in Orlando, FL and those are pretty hard to beat. However, Clinton Crossing offers a lot of the same brand stores without the tourist chaos in Orlando. The mall is split into two sections which is probably the thing I like the least about this mall. Sometimes I just can’t be bothered to walk all the way down to the section that has Nike. I do like the Off Saks Fifth, you can always get a good bargain there. My most recent obsession is Kate Spade so it’s nice that they have a store here. I was able to get a super cute new passport cover today for a good price. You can’t go wrong visiting here, but I guess that’s just a shopaholic’s opinion.

There are a couple downsides to this outlet mall that I should mention. Firstly, it’s absolutely freezing in the winter! Holy wind tunnel in the main walkway!
I’d also note that while the selection of stores can be exciting, be prepared for a thorough search to find the deals you’re dreaming of. It’s a time consuming endeavor that one should be mentally and physically prepared for.
The layout of the complex is not ideal, especially when visiting in low temperatures. Main stores like Nike and Adidas are «yonder» — across a walkway and parking lot from the main stretch of stores.
Lastly, I would also like to note, that at some high end stores, the customer service was sub-​par at best. I was ready to invest some serious money in a handbag at one store, but was discouraged by the absolute lack of acknowledgement. I’d rather give my business to Amazon.

So there are days with decent sales, so I suggest getting your shopping on then. For an outlet its average but quality stores.

Outlet shopping has become a bit boring. Gone are the days of getting great deals on high end or slightly irregular merchandise. Now for the most part stores all make a slightly inferior line dedicated to their outlet stores and you end up feeling like you have been duped. This is not unique to Clinton Crossings. There are certainly a few gems here. The Ralph Lauren and Dooney and Bourke stores never disappoint but by and large it is overcrowded, the parking situation is terrible and there are limited food options. Visiting Clinton Crossings seldom feels worth the hour drive.

Stores are usually top end… not many to choose from. Went there specifically to check out the Club Monaco outlet store. It had great stuff, but most of the pants were Slim Fit, which are great looking, but my calves are too developed for that cut…(should stop working out those legs on the elliptic and treadmill… LOL)
I ended up getting great buys at the Calvin Klein and Banana Republic stores… many items were 40−50% off lowest price on the tag… and…I had a 15% off coupon on top of that…
A good tip… if you are a AAA member or sign up for on their website, you have access to a VIP booklet that gives you 15% off extra at many stores if you purchase at least a certain amount (could be $ 75, $ 100, etc).
Not many choices to eat, just a Café and two kiosks… no large food court nor large restaurants nearby.

THE DEAL: Set aside the whole day to cover this mall.
Big bargains are buried beneath year long pseudo sales.

The outlets (both Clinton and Westbrook) underwhelm me, but I’m not sure if that’s partly due to growing up five minutes away from both of them? I don’t know, but I think they’re just okay.
The store selection is decent, the prices are all over the place. Over the years, I’ve noticed almost all outlets got rid of outlet prices. If you’re really in tune with prices of items, you’d realize that most of the time you’re not getting a deal at the outlets. Some stores (Coach, Ralph Lauren, Cosmetic Company Outlet, Saks, Nike, etc) always have great deals to be found, but other stores leave much to be desired on the discount end of things. Sunglass Hut, for example, has better prices at their mall locations than their outlet. Again, if you’re outlet shopping savvy or just pay a little extra attention, you can definitely score some great deals, but just because it’s an outlet doesn’t mean you’re paying less.
Size-​wise it’s fine, it’s easy to walk and navigate. There are some food stands and a little café, but it wouldn’t hurt to add a sit down option or two. I only say this because not only are there no restaurants at the outlets, but there’s nothing super close, either. The outlets are across the street from a high school and a Dunkin Donuts, and next to Ethan Allen and the on ramp to 95 South. It’s a little bit of a trek to get to any restaurants (especially if you’re not from the area), so I think this would be a welcomed addition.

Man findet dort 70 verschiedene Designer und Läden, wie Adidas, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Cole Haan, DKNY, Gap Outlet, J. Crew, Kate Spade New York, Kenneth Cole, Nautica, Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren, Talbots, Tommy Hilfiger und viele mehr.
Es war bei unserem Aufenthalt gerade «End of Season Sale» mit fantastischen Rabatten. Leider wollte man uns beim Center Management für das Couponbook 5, — $ abknöpfen. Man bekommt es kostenlos, wenn man sich vorher beim VIP-​Club anmeldet.
Irgendwie ist bei uns der Funken nicht übergesprungen und wir kamen nicht so recht in Kauflaune. Wir sind dann nach einer halben Stunde wieder weitergefahren, da einige größere Anschaffungen bei Michael Kors ohne Couponbook keinen Sinn machten. Wir hatten ja zum Schluss unserer Urlaubsreise noch ein großes Outlet im Blick.
Sicherlich ein ganz nettes Outletcenter, wenn man gerade in der Nähe ist. Allerdings haben wir auf unserer Urlaubsfahrt freundlichere und bessere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vorgefunden.
