R.J. Carignan & Co., Inc. was established in 1935 as The Reginald J. Carignan Insurance Agency.

Our founder, Reg Carignan, a real estate broker and owner of the Troy Fifth Avenue Bus Company, determined that the most effective way to manage the risk of his own business ventures was to open his own insurance agency.

In the last half century, The Carignan Agency has grown to be the trusted partner of both local and national companies, as well as our valued personal lines clients.

Our new Clifton Park Office will afford us the ability to continue to provide a superior level of service and dedication to our clients.

History

Established in 1935.

Formed as the Reginald J Carignan Insurance Agency in in 1935, developing in to one of the areas premier independent property casualty insuring agencies called upon to craft insurance and risk management solutions for families, business and industry throughout New York State and New England.

Our partners Include Liberty Mutual, Safeco, Travelers, Hartford Insurance Co, Merchants Insurance Group, Zurich, QBE, Selective, NY Central Mutual, Encompass and Philadelphia Insurance Co.
