I shop here a lot.. . has great, affordable gifts for housewarmings and hostess gifts. However, I went to return a pair of exercise pants last week. I never return things, but these pants threaded apart on the seam after wearing them one time– kind of a cheap, I realized too late, polyester.(Yes, they were the right size.) I had the receipt and the tag. The manager hemmed and hawed, looked them over and said, «We don’t accept returns on items that have been worn.» I replied that the pants were defective. He eventually gave me my money back, but not after much disapproving silence and discomfort. I won’t be buying clothes there anymore, since company policy is that the clothes they sell are disposable.

This is probably my favorite Marshalls(and I think it bills itself as a Home Goods too) in the Northeast. It may not be the largest(but if not, it’s close), but it has the most interesting variety of products. I’ve had really good luck shopping here during the holidays, particularly for less usual or traditional items. I don’t believe it has as large a rug selection, but that’s ok with me.

This is a really, really nice Marshalls!!!(and trust me, I go to TJMaxx and Marshalls frequently). This one is much nicer than the average Marshalls. It has a glorious shoe section with a HUGE selection. The home goods section is also very large and organized nicely. The whole store is very clean and well-organized. Overall there is a good selection of merchandise in all areas. Some times of the year are better than others in terms of selection and deals. Every time I go to Clifton Park I go to this Marshalls at least once. GO! You’ll find something, I’m sure…
