Specialties
Our school prepares individuals for a career in Professional Dog Styling (8 weeks full time or 20 weeks part time) or Professional Dog Bathing (11.5 days). We are a school licensed by NYS Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision. Our curriculum has been reviewed and approved by NYS Department of Education. Our instructors have attended classes and are licensed teachers in NYS.
History
Established in 2009.
Historically, Pet Stylist learned the trade as an apprentice. There have not been enough qualified individuals in the marketplace to hire and we’ve always had to train our own. Using this method it would take up to a year to train someone before you could trust them with a basic haircut. That’s because you don’t have the time in a busy salon to work on their skills. It also leaves gaps in their education. We decide to open the school because there aren’t any in our area and there is a need for trained Pet Stylists.
