Business Owner

Scott founded Build it Green after many years in the commercial and residential construction market, first with other companies and then forming his own company in 2003. After incorporating several green building products and methods in the normal course of building as a General Contractor, he repeatedly stated to his clients that these «green» suggestions would make for a more marketable property, or be more economical to operate, or would be better for the environment or just made plain good sense to integrate into the project. He also found more often than not, that these new products, methods and practices did not add significant costs to the project when properly specified and introduced early in the planning stages. When his construction company was asked to build two very affordable «LEED-​certified Green Projects» he excitedly joined the team and at the same time embarked on providing this type of green construction to the average person looking to «Build or Buy Green».
