We offer private and group yoga classes and wellness services 7 days a week! Our yoga classes range from deep stretch and beginner’s yoga to Open Level and Powerful Flow. For those in pain, recovering from injury, stress reduction and more we offer Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Rolfing, Thai Yoga Massage, Sports Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and Reiki. We hold events and workshops, certifications, educational seminars, and couple’s massage workshops. Vision Yoga & Wellness is passionate about facilitating your wellness goals and welcoming you to our community of Visionaries!

History

Established in 2011.

Vision Yoga & Wellness opened our doors in April 2011 and we have grown to offer over 45 yoga classes and services seven days a week with our staff of certified yoga instructors, Licensed Massage Therapists, Acupuncturist, Thai Yoga Practitioners, and a Rolfer. Theresa has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2002, and was certified in Yoga in 2010. Theresa specializes in combining Therapeutic Massage Therapy and CranioSacral Therapy for migraines, neck and shoulder injury, TMJ, Hip and low back pain, vertigo, whiplash and falls and enjoys Thai Yoga Massage for clients looking for deeper tissue work for repetitive strain such as desk work or yard work, sports fatigue, energy balancing, and for the business traveller. Theresa also teaches yoga privately and to groups on or off-​site in Cleveland and near west locations. Theresa is also available for Corporate wellness talks.

Absolutely love Vision. Theresa is absolutely fantastic and you can get all the customized services you want. They take the time to really get to know you and figure out what will help. Been coming here for over five years now and have no plans to stop. My favorite thing is that they offer a ton of different services not just from a huge variety of yoga classes and massages but meditation, acupuncture, rolfing, and more.

Great location and amazing instructors for all levels, beginner to advanced. I’ve been going regularly for 5 months and I absolutely love it here! Gary and Geoff are the classes I attend most due to my schedule. Both are very helpful with assists and classes are challenging but very great instructors. I look forward to each class and love this studio and the instructors.

Updating because I’ve been regularly coming here for almost 3 months now and my experiences have only been better. All the instructors are so knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. I look forward to coming to class every day. No matter your level of experience, they have classes for everyone. Cannot recommend enough!

I really like their classes! The instructors are all great and they have a great variety of stuff considering that they’ve only got one studio! I’m not as big of a fan when it comes to their workshops. The one I attended seemed a bit disorganized and maybe a little overpriced. Overall, though, I still think this place is a gem.

Visiting from Chicago to see the yoga exhibit at the art museum and had the pleasure to visit this AMAZING studio in Ohio city! Took geoff’s 9am power on Labor Day and LOVED IT! Great flow, amazing music, and great assists. Will def recommend and come back when I’m in Cleveland again!

I’ll start out by saying I’m hyper flexible, so I tend to have problems with utilizing some of my limbs (read – hands and thumbs) without getting injured. The downward dog is not my friend I daresay. I need to adjust the pose so that I’m leaning on my elbows and arms instead of my hands. The class was somewhat advanced for a beginner like myself, but if you already know what you are doing, I think this would be a good place to go. The instructor told me I would be better served by doing a private class due to my flexibility issues. I am afraid of injuries, and I agree. I was told that Hatha (sp?) yoga would be the best type to do, as opposed to whatever brand of yoga we practiced at the Unilocal event for Best of Cleveland.

I tried yoga for the second time last night at the Unilocal event for Best of Cleveland. The vibe was positive and the studio had a good aura. Some of the poses were challenging and I can imagine that the advanced techniques take years of work and practice to master. I even broke a sweat at one point. I don’t usually participate in group chants like at Catholic church, Browns or OSU games. I almost did the «om» one. The instructor came by and assisted my posture when I did the Downward Dog. She was very helpful and did her best to manage and accommodate the full class. My only gripe is the naming of the pose «Corpse». The word association caused my spirit trouble and activated my Thanatos or Death Drive. I then imagined the rum cocktails I would soon be indulging in after yoga class at Porco Lounge. The guided mediation at the end was helpful in opening the pineal gland and releasing Kundalini energy.

I visited this place as someone who has done yoga before but I have been out of ot for awhile. I’ve never actually taken a class so I was a bit nervous. The instructor was very friendly. The space can be a but cramped if there are any ppl there. I couldn’t do one or two of the poses bc we were all so close to each other. I may try an earlier class next time. I really wanna try massage here too. Location/​parking is great.

I have been going to classes at Vision for about a year now and my experience could not be any better! The atmosphere that Theresa has created is amazing and I always feel refreshed and rejunivated after class. I began by going to one class a week on Tuesday nights but now I try to attend a few classes a week, which doesn’t always happen with that thing called a job but having a great place to practice at definitely motivates me to make time. All of the instructors are professional and kind and I would recommend this studio to anybody!

This studio is my local favorite since leaving my beloved ones in NYC. I’ve taken as many classes with varied teachers and its been my ongoing experience that each teacher is absolutely wonderful at what they do. A truly lovely bunch of people! shout out to Laurie, Theresa, Elaine, Carrissa, Darcy, Becca & Christine, & Geoff! (apologies if I missed anyone!)
All have been patient, kind and super informative with the fact that I’m rusty from not practicing in about 5 years, the environment of the studio itself is relaxed, welcoming and attractive. The owner, Theresa, is very motivating and helpful with any questions you may have and all the workshops, products and services the studio offers. Its quite an inviting spot, great energy at all times, a real asset and treasure to Ohio City.
So happy I have been able to enjoy practicing there :)

this is the place to be. i don’t understand why classes here aren’t packed, because they should be, because the teachers are great. i’ll just count my blessings though and continue to enjoy the cozy light filled studio with the other students who do make it here.
i’ve been to a few different classes now, and i’ve been pretty satisfied with most of them. the classes are as advertised, ie slow, power, open level, etc. as with any studio, there are different teachers, with different styles. so just because you like or don’t like one of the teachers/​classes, doesn’t mean you should be hating on the whole thing. i really like becca’s classes, and i’ve sort of developed a little girl crush on her (!). :D
my only complaint is that, even though i know power classes are supposed to be up beat, i wish they would use music other than pop or top 40s. ehhh. it’s just that everyone’s tastes are different, and then sometimes the teacher changes the song that you really like right in the middle of it, or you hate a song and it’s played twice during the class on the teacher’s playlist. everyone can pretty much get down with new age-​y flowy stuff but the pop music can be distracting :/​
also, i’m going to be making an appointment for a massage soon. i here theresa is wonderful and i can’t wait!
lastly, practicing here is easy on the budget. sure, they don’t have classes all hours of the day, but for what they have, the monthly unlimited fee is way generous.
i hope to coming here for a long time :)

Vision Yoga is so great! I’ve been coming here for several months now for Fri yoga classes. The owner, Theresa, is great — she recognizes and knows all the regulars and is well-​known in the W 25th area among other retailers, restaurant + store owners. She also cares a lot about health and well-​being and is willing to offer programs to address them.
I’ve been to Theresa’s classes mostly and once for Caressa’s. They are both great instructors, albeit with different styles. I appreciate how much instruction they give, and Theresa always seems to choose poses that address the areas I need to that week, and changes up the challenges depending on who is there + their level of expertise. I leave feeling refreshed and like everything in my body is straightened out.
The ambiance is also great — great wood floors and a quiet space with lots of natural light, especially during morning classes! I’m a regular here and it’s great!

I have been practicing yoga for many years and was sorely disappointed in this studio. I wanted to love it. I just bought a 4 week pass for $ 40 (new clients) and was quite excited about the great deal… Now I am calling tomorrow morning for a refund. The instructor didn’t even seem like a legitimate instructor. She did one useless assist, and didn’t provide any modifications. There were no inversions or arm balances. This was supposed to be an intermediate to advanced class, but it seemed like a beginners basic class to me.
All the five-​star reviews have me scratching my head.

I really wanted to like this place. First off, I do love the space. Natural light, spacious, good vibe. I dropped in for a class mid week and I ended up being the only person there. So the class was just the instructor and myself. During the entire 60 minutes, she offered no hands on assistance or instruction. In fact, she chewed gum the entire time and I caught her looking out the window a few times as if she would have preferred to be somewhere else. I have been in classes at other studios with upwards of 40 people and the instructor finds a way to assist or at least put his/​her hands on you. I just felt like this was lazy instruction and a lackadaisical attitude.

I really like places that cater to men. This studio offers a male only beginner’s yoga class on Tuesday nights from 8−9pm. There were about 5 others in the class. The teacher, Theresa, is great. She is a good mannered, gentle instructor and her directions are easy for newbies to follow (not bogged down in technical Sanskrit terms). I recommend trying out her studio for all genders. If you don’t have a mat no problem, there are good quality mats available to use (and no worries on them being clean there is spray provided too). There is also water provided — bring a bottle. The studio is located in a great upstairs space above the Ohio City bars (entrance on W25th St and the east part of Bridge Ave). Street parking or park for free in the West Side Market lot behind all the stores on the east of W25th.

I’ll admit to having never been to one of Theresa’s yoga classes, but if they’re anything close to showing the care, energy and strength that she puts into her massages, then they’re likely to be awesome.
This is a somewhat hard review to write, as Theresa was one of the first friends I made upon my return to Cleveland (almost two years ago now!). But I’m certain that I have the ability to write an un-​biased review.
That said, you’ll be hard-​pressed to find a more beautiful place to practice yoga, as she has opened up shop in the incredible 2000 sq ft loft above the Garage Bar, right on 25th Street. The yoga studio itself is amazing, as it has double-​high ceilings and floor-​to-​ceiling windows, with views over the Flats and downtown Cleveland. Unreal. And plenty of space to spread out… the last thing you want in a steamy yoga session is cramped space. You’ll have so much room here, you’ll think you’re stretching and reaching in an open field of barley.
Or perhaps daffodils. Not sure what your dream field looks like. That said, there are a ton of different yoga classes. You’ll be sure to find one that caters to what you want.
Vision has three treatment rooms, for various procedures. They work as a sort of health-​collective, with experts from all over the region lending service in disiplines from Kundalini Light Energization™ to Neuromuscular to CranioSacral Therapy. Theresa (and her team) gotz mad skillz.
And just mild mannered massage? Well, Theresa is the best. No question. I’m a client. Tell her what the issues are, and she’ll dig, touch and breathe them out.
She even has shower facilities available. Going out to VTR later and don’t think you can make it home to suburbia and get all the way back? No problem.
