This location has an early bird special, all services are half off Monday –Friday 8a.m. – 10 a.m. We specialize in precision hair cuts in a laid back atmosphere at the market price. Custom designs, mohawks, hot towel shaves, facials, men’s hair cuts, razor lines, and razor bald heads are in our arsenal of tonsorial weaponry. What Urban Kutz Barbershop boasts mostly about is its plethora of multicultural clients that come thru the door. Every race nationality and lifestyle is welcome at Urban Kutz Barbershop. All will be treated professionally and all are guaranteed to have a pleasurable grooming experience.

Our goals are three fold.

1) For you to get an AWESOME haircut

2) For you to continue to return and

3) For you to tell a friend.

Charity is big for Urban Kutz as well as our owner Waverly Willis has formed a non profit organization called The Urban Barber Association.

History

Established in 2014.

A child of a single parent, the owner of Urban Kutz Barbershop, Waverly Willis, could not afford to go to a barber to get his haircut. His mother the late Ms. Wardell Wills, the resourceful mother she was, cut it herself. Waverly and his brother would sit through dreadful and painful «mom cuts» as Waverly called them. Every kid in the neighborhood and at school would laugh at the monthly hair cut Waverly had on his head. It was always quite funny to them. One day as Waverly braised himself his monthly hair cut he reached for his mothers arm as it approached his head with the clippers in it. He asked if he could cut his own hair. Mom replied” I don’t care who cuts it as long as its cut”. Waverly began to cut his own hair and still got laughs from all the kids. Gradually his skills improved and slowly his friends started asking for hair cuts. As time went on Waverly would have a basement full of people from all over waiting for a hair cut. It was his dream job that he still enjoys today

The people in the community has received us so well we were asked to open this shop in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood, we gladly obliged. The old Brooklyn shop is doing well and the clientele base is just as broad and wonderful as the other location.
