Top Nails

When I first walked in I was overwhelmed with the smell of cigarette smoke and then realized that they are two doors down from a smoke shop. Yuck! (I do have heightened senses, so YMMV)
The lady Tina is upbeat and has an infectious attitude, so I stayed against my better judgement. The place is old and dirty and almost all of the polishes had been thinned down with acetone. Tina defends it by saying that everything is new, but c’mon…the results show in the finished polish.
She did a fast and decent job with my pedicure and I will have to admit that she gave a good massage, hot stones and all. This place is probably standard for this demographic but substandard compared to the national average.
This is the nail salon outside of Walmart in the same parking lot.

I came here this past Saturday to get gel polish. The lady that worked there was really nice, but it was hard for us to communicate. I was trying to explain that I wanted a gel manicure, no fake tips but the French tip design on my real nail with gel polish. There was a big misunderstanding with that. They kept saying my natural nail was too tiny to do the French mani design and I would have to get a solid gel color or just the white fake tips, neither of which did I want. Finally the lady understood and she did try her best to make sure I was satisfied. But due to the constant confusion during my visit, I don’t think I will be back here.
