Real old style country bbq, which means the sides are from the fifities and probably out of a can. Don’t shoot me, it just seems that way with the texture and the taste. Where they really make out though is in the ribs, I am drooling just thinking of them and the brisket sandwich on the last trip was not half bad. Their in-house sauce is my favorite style, with a good balance of heat, sweetness and sharpness. I am worried they may not survive the re-routing of Highway 59, but hope plenty of people know about The Shack and encourage anyone in a hurry to take the business exit into Cleveland and try this place.
