I do my weekly shopping at the West Side Market and I’ve tried most of the meat places. The Pork Chop Shop is the only place I buy pork!
The quality of the pork is top notch and it’s evident the owners take an immense amount of pride in their craft. I think I’ve sampled everything they offer at this point and I have no complaints. My favorite is their chipotle cinnamon bacon, but you can’t go wrong with anything.
My husband claims they make the best chorizo he’s ever had, and he gets around.
Mmmmmmmm, bacon.

MAPLE BACON!
I love the maple bacon more than most things these days. It is by far the absolute best bacon in town and a must try! Every time I order it one of the workers always asks, «Have you had our Maple Bacon before?» Yes! It’s that great! The pre-​rubbed pork chops are great too! My favorite being the jerk rubbed.
Quick Tip: Their chops are thick so if you have trouble cooking them, if you slice them in half it makes it easier to evenly cook while keeping the delicious flavor.

This is the only place I buy pork. Always top quality cuts, great sausages, great bacon and great service. I’ve never had a negative experience with them and I buy from them at least twice a month, always a smile. Give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

Not all pork is created equal… the pork here is so much more, um…“porky” than other stands at the market or anywhere else period. I only buy pork at The Pork Chop Shop now. Along with the unseasoned chops, my favorite already seasoned are the Spanish and Cajun rubbed chops. Pork is their craft and they have perfected it!

I can’t say much for the product here, but the service leaves something to be desired. The women were fine, but the one dude was pretty rude. Watch what u say around customers man. We can hear you.

These ladies kick some serious ass when it comes to pork-​related stuff. Christmas Ale bacon? Check. Maple bacon? Check. Cajun bacon. Hells yes check. Bacon ends for making split pea soup? Yep check. And my latest infatuation… jalapeño cheddar sausage. I cannot tell you how many pounds of their bacon and sausage I have packed in coolers and driven out of town because all of my friends and family request it. I have created a monster. But damn Emma and Alexia do a great job.

Always have Christmas ale bacon when it’s in season and it is so devine! They also make some awesome chorizo and can just generally be counted on for some serious quality. My go to in the market, and Cleveland, for pork products.

This is my go-​to place for some thick bacon. I typically have to get there very early on a Saturday to stock up on all of my breakfast needs. Last time I was there, I got a bit of each kind: regular, maple, black pepper, Cajun and my favorite, garlic. I am so spoiled by the bacon here that I can no longer buy the vacuum-​wrapped knock-​off bacon at the grocery store. I have to go to the WSM to the lovely ladies of the Pork Chop Shop to buy my bacon in bulk. Next time you venture to the market, make sure you stop by and get some! You will not regret it!
