The Cutting Edge Salon is the premier salon in Northeast Georgia. Located in beautiful downtown Cleveland, Georgia, The Cutting Edge Salon offers products and services that other area salons cannot touch. The salon co-​owners, Gail Palmer and Jessica Turner do not compromise on quality and professional results; good isn’t good enough, results must be great. The salon also offers ethnic haircare, eyelash extensions, hair extensions and custom made wigs by Stylist Vonda Kay Richardson that local competitors cannot touch. In addition, the salon features a state-​of-​the-​art «Color Bar» where clients can watch as their stylist mixes their unique color. The retail selection is vast and reasonably priced. You’ll find products by Redken, Redken Men, Joico, Rusk, ISO, Nioxin, Johnny B, Malibu (Vegan), Bosley Professional, Mizani, Repêchage Facial and Hempz lotions. As a courtesy to its clients, The Cutting Edge Salon will special order any product requested.

History

Established in 2012.

Co-​Owner Gail Palmer received her cosmetology license in 1987 and for 10 years she co-​managed salons in Cleveland and Gainesville with her mother, Sue Pardue. In 1998 Gail opened her own salon in Cleveland and stayed in business until 2006 when a severe family illness caused her to sale the business to take care of a family member. In 2012 conditions allowed Gail to re-​open her own salon — The Cutting Edge Salon. In 2013 she, along with new co-​owner and fellow stylist, Jessica Turner, opened the new Cutting Edge Salon in a larger retail area offering many services not previously provided in the Northeast Georgia area. The Cutting Edge Salon will continue to provide Professional Hair and Skincare as long as the Lord continues to bless us.

Business Owner

Gail Palmer has been a Master Cosmetologist since 1987. While in High School, Gail placed Eighth in the National Cosmetology Competition sponsored by VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America). This earned her a scholarship to the prestigious Pivot Point International School of Cosmetology in Atlanta, Georgia and the rest, as they say, is history.
