History

Established in 1995.

Dr. Krieger earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College, completing the six-​year accelerated combined biomedical program with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He went on to complete his internship and general surgery residency training in San Francisco.

Joining the team at the United States Military Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany, Dr. Krieger served three years as chief of general surgery. He also served as a surgical consultant to the British Army during the Gulf War. Returning to Washington, D.C. in 1993, he completed fellowship training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He then had the honor of serving as assistant chief of plastic surgery at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.
