Amazing staff. Amazing place. My hair stylist was friendly and did exactly what I asked and showed me some great styling tips. Recommended hair products without being pushy. I Highly recommend this place.

Kary Molnar is awesome! She has been cutting/​styling my hair for a little over 2 years now. It’s always a great cut and a fun experience! I highly recommend this salon and Kary too!

Best salon in Cleveland. Have been a regular since 2013. All hairdressers and nail technicians are highly skillful. Great reception staff as well. Liz and Alex are my favorite for blow dries, and Carey and Janet are fantastic at manicures and pedicures.

My mom has been bringing me to Michael Christopher’s since I was a little girl. She goes every month and trusts no other salon. I always enjoy to see Heather when I go. She has done my hair for years from haircuts, hair color and she always did the best up-​dos. They even have fabulous people that do your scheduling. Monica is always so sweet and pleasant. It’s also a plus that they are an AVEDA salon so you know the product they put in your hair is only the best! It’s always a nice little treat when I go.

Been a regular at MCS for 10+ years, and I cannot say enough good things about it! I see Carly for my cuts and colors, and she is amazing and really takes the time to make you feel like you’re a priority. I’ve had other stylists for blowdrys and updos, and have never had a bad service– Alex and Jamie are excellent too!
Pedicures are hands down the best in town-​bar none. They aren’t cheap but so worth the cost. They offer buddy pedicures which allow you to have a private pedi experience with a friend– my favorite gift to everyone, always a hit!
They do book up very quickly so I always schedule months in advance. I also try to go on Friday afternoons because the salon is fairly quiet and feels relaxing. Saturdays are super busy and I feel more rushed on those days, so I no longer schedule in that day.

I’ve been coming here for years, and I still do even now that I live out of state. See Regina for your mani/​pedi needs, she is the best. Chelsea is an eye brow wiz! The entire staff at the salon is super professional and kind. I came here with a huge crew for my wedding, and they handled it beautifully. They even handled all of the last minute changes, additions, etc. with a smile. What’s even better is it’s a locally owned business! I can’t say enough good things about Michael Christopher.

I have been seeing Kary for my cut and color for the past four years. I had a wonderful Aveda stylist in Virginia Beach and was so worried, when I came back to Cleveland, that I would not be able to find another one like her… but I did in Kary. My hair, next to my teeth and smile, are my most important beauty assets, and she rises to the occasion every time. Her skill with color and the cuts always leave me feeling beautiful. I work in a professional public field, and there is not a week that does not go by where I do not receive a genuine compliment (women do not like to compliment one another, usually) and offer a referral for her services. She is professional, current, punctual and efficient and extremely hard working. Her soft skills are wonderful, too. She can read me, knowing if I just want to relax and have a quite relaxing experience or if I want to spend the time talking about the current events or my family. KARY ALWAYS MAKES ME FEEL WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL. I highly recommend Kary. I find the fees to be very reasonable for the services provided, and I feel that since they exceed my expectations on a regular basis, that it is a great value. Aveda salon fees are often based upon stylist experience, and I am glad for the experience Kary has to offer.
I have also enjoyed the spa pedicure, amazing… and family members have also had waxing services and are also very pleased with the results and experience.
This past year, not related to the spa services, someone hit my car and left without a note. Although their lot is shared with multiple business, they reviewed all of their security camera footage for me, to determine if a client had been involved. They went above and beyond, and although that mystery was not solved, MCS was wonderful in trying to help me.

The first time I came here (highly recommended by a friend — I just moved back to Cleveland after 8 years) I went to Amy Police for cut/​color. She was SO sweet, fixed my outdated ombré and perfectly matched my original hair color (it now looks like virgin hair but better) and got rid of all my fried ends without making me feel like I was chopping my hair off. My blowout also lasted for days!
Just came back for a brow wax, bikini wax and pedicure to prepare for an upcoming trip to Miami. Chelsea did the wax — turns out, you can actually enjoy yourself during a bikini wax! She made me feel relaxed right away and got me to talk to distract me from the (unavoidable and totally expected) pain — but in a way that wasn’t forced. She is so disarming and friendly that I just chatted away! It should be emphasized here that I haaaaate small talk, especially during spa services, so this is a huge deal to me. Everything looks fantastic too! Carey did my pedicure. She indulged my request for a glitter topcoat over a metallic polish and led me back to a small, private room where I could relax in a chair all by myself. All of the Aveda products she used felt amazing, especially a cooling blue mud treatment that she applied to my feet with a paintbrush before wrapping them in hot towels. By the time she came back 15 minutes later my feet were tingly and brand new.
I will be happily driving the 30 minutes from Cleveland Heights for these services in the future and feel confident that I can try anything in the menu here worry-​free. If anyone in the Cleveland area asks me for a salon or spa recommendation, I know what I’ll be saying! They also have a dangerously well-​stocked product area and seemingly constant promotions :)

Having recently relocated to Cleveland, I was looking for a quality salon for my color and cuts. I was very pleased with Paulette and how she was able to get my slightly red hair to a golden blonde. It was exactly what I wanted. I had my hair cut by Christa and she did a pretty good job although there isn’t much I do with cuts. Yes, it was a little pricey and since everything is localized, it got pricey tipping everyone.
All in all, a good experience and i will be going back in six weeks for touch ups.

Clean salon with friendly staff. Lots of snacks, whole fruit, teas, water, and coffee are available while you wait. I usually get my eyebrows waxed and a hair cut (no color), and the prices are reasonable. The staff in generally are incredibly friendly and accommidating. I always have a good experience when I go here.

I had to write this review. I had my very first pedicure at Michael Christopher. I also wish I hadn’t because every pedicure after it hasn’t met the standard that Michael Christopher Salon has set.
I can’t remember who did my pedicure. But it was extremely relaxing, thorough (especially with my callouses), and the pedicure lasted for over a month! I eventually took it off with nail polish remover!
The hair care I’ve received there has been alright. Nothing crazy good but nothing terrible either.
Definitely want to get my pedicures there.

I’ve been going to Michael Christopher Salon for about five years. I get my hair cut from Wendy and have an occasional manicure and pedicure. They do book up fast sometimes. I love my hair cuts from Wendy. She is so sweet, always does a great job, and is never scissor happy. Their hair cuts are a bit pricey, but well worth it and comparable to similar salons. The manicures and pedicures are reasonably priced. I’ve had good experiences there with all of the services I’ve had. The only issue is the front desk staff sometimes seems like I’m bothering them, but they could just be overwhelmed because it gets very busy in there. I also love that they use Aveda products and always have coffee and water with fruit in it.

I’ve been going to MCS off and on for around 10 years or so. I’ll go for the occasional eyebrow waxing, pedicure, and manicure.
When I need professional make-​up (and not the crap that I slather on myself) I’ll go see Angela. She does most of the other services besides hair — waxing, facials, make-​up, pedicures. I had a facial (no, not THAT kind of facial — har har) and spa pedicure with her a few days before I gave birth last year and it was pretty amazing. Very relaxing and just what I needed before the workout of my life.
It’s been years since I’ve had a haircut here so I can’t say much from a personal experience in that regard. However, everytime I’m there I see some really hot looking haircuts.
I will say this, they are pricey. I chalk that up to the products they use (Aveda) and because they really keep up on education. The ladies that work here are constantly going to training/​education classes and really know their stuff when it comes to modern trends — if you’re into that sort of thing.
Another downside to MCS is that it can be hard to get an appointment at a moments notice. That’s nearly impossible here. So be sure to call at least a month ahead of time to get in when you need to.

This spa transitioned me from folically negligent student to sleek maned yuppie. Jamie worked with me to develop a fantastic color & cut– edgy and fun for the weekends, but tame enough for business settings.
Mad props to Jamie. I recommend her 150%.
The client relations, though, were less than stellar. I was a regular at MCS for about a year and a half, but my last experience left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I decided not to go back.
After booking my appt 4 weeks in advance — because you can’t get an appointment any sooner — I got held up at work and was 45 minutes late for my appointment. I had called ahead and informed them of my tardiness. Instead of telling me then that I couldn’t get a color treatment (which I was more interested in than the cut) they told me upon arrival, and then informed me that I would have to wait another 4 weeks before they could fit me in. They did not seem interested in working with me to find an alternative. They were unsympathetic and seemed to make no effort. They flat-​out refused to give me the color to take to another saloon where my hair could be fit in for emergency attention.
Bottom line: while the color and cut were great at MCS, the prices were high and I did not receive the required personal attention to justify that premium.
